It was weird sensation really. We were traveling through a dark spiraling hole. It was so small that I felt like I wouldn't be able to squeeze through it. I couldn't see anything but a small speck of light getting bigger as we got closer to it. I never really liked small spaces. Whenever I was in one, I felt like a small bug that could get squashed at any given moment. It just wasn't comfortable. Especially this.

I tried to look around. The black smoke was pretty much gone. I guess it was just sorta a part of the disappearing trick Susan did. I looked over at the others. Gabe was staring ahead with a look of slight fear.

I never realized how crazy this must seem to him. I never told him about the crazy old lady Susan and her black smoke. I slowly got to know all this while Gabe kinda just jumped in. I couldn't imagine much how he was feeling now. All I know is that it must be a pretty big shock. I mean, an old lady disappearing in a cloud of black smoke isn't exactly normal. Neither is her taking you into a swirl of black and seeing the world disappear around you.

Speaking of that, we slowly got closer to the beam of light coming from the end of the tunnel. I looked back at the blonde girl and became shocked. She looked carefree. Like she was completely used to all that was happening. I wanted to punch her face, but then second guessed that thought when I thought of her possible reactions. A tough girl like her wouldn't tell me to, 'not worry about it,' Or tell me that, 'it's ok.' She would most definitely retaliate and punch me back.

We reached the end of the tunnel and the beam of light hit me. I had to almost completely close my eyes as we came into the light.

We landed in front of a small house on its front lawn. It was old and worn down. Shingles on the roof were missing and it really needed a new paint job. It was painted a middle shade of brown and the window curtains were tightly drawn.

I looked at Susan and immediately thought of the millions of questions I wanted to ask her. But out of all the questions, there were two that needed to be asked. I tried to think of the best way to ask those two questions when I finally decided.

"Where are we and what just happened," I flat out asked. Yep, put hardly any thought into that.

"You just experienced teleportation little missy," Susan answered, "that's the simplest way I can put it." Woah... teleportation!?! No wonder she always disappeared like that. I wonder if anyone else I know can teleport. I was just about to ask her this when she added, "oh, and we are at my house." I literally have no words.

We walked up to the front door and she ever so gently, as to not hurt it, took the key and inserted it into the lock of the door. She turned it and the wind slammed open the door. Where did that come from? I thought. There hasn't been the slightest breeze all day!

I also thought, so much for her trying to be gentle and not break the key or collapse the house itself. I suddenly felt really bad. Was this really her house? It seemed too old and broken down to be the home of anyone. What must she have gone through to end up living here, I can't imagine.

We walked in and the floorboards creaked under our feet. She pointed to an old couch. "Sit," she said, not impolitely but generally welcoming. I still wasn't sure if I wanted to sit on the old couch or not, but considering the the circumstances, I reluctantly obeyed.

The three of us started walking over to the couch.

"I'll go quickly prepare tea for the four of us," she said.

It wasn't till we got to the couch that I realized how small it was. Even two people would barely fit. There was only a small rocking chair and this couch to sit in though. I figured the rocking chair was for Susan, but when the blonde girl went to sit in it, she looked like she knew what she was doing. I didn't question her decision.

"Figured I'd leave the couch to you two lovebirds. That way you can get close without me getting in your way," she said laughing after. Me and Gabe were tired of dealing with her so we just rolled our eyes and sat down.

I was right when saying the couch really was small. Me and Gabe had to rearrange ourselves several times. We went from trying to squeeze our bodies into the couch side by side to me sitting on his lap. He even tried to sit on my lap once, but that didn't workout too well. It lasted for a few seconds until I started trying desperately to get air. Me and Gabe ended up in a laughing fit. Even the blonde girl joined in. We finally ended up deciding on me sitting on his lap, since he could take it much better then I could. And just to remind you, not romantically in any way. Just something a couple of friends might do for fun.

Susan eventually walked in with the tea on a tray which she set on the coffee table.

I turned to whisper in Gabe's ear, "one of us should have just sat on the coffee table for crying out loud." This made him laugh which sure enough, made me laugh along with him.

"What's so funny?" Susan asked.

"Probably recalling something romantic that happened between them," the blonde girl said. Making me a little angry and annoyed.

I guess Gabe could tell cause he whispered in my ear, "she just trying to make you feel angry. Don't let it get to you. You know we're just friends." That calmed me down enough to not throw a punch in her face. Which was probably good. I have a lot to thank Gabe for.

"Smile for me," he says. Which makes me even more mad than I was before. That would make me seem like some cheery little girl. But he gave me the sad pouty look with the puffed out lower lip and I couldn't resist a smile.

"There's my best friend. She's back from what must have been a terrible vacation." This made me laugh even more. I've laughed so much in the past few minutes, I don't know if I'll ever be able to again.

"Are you with this boy little missy?" Susan asked. Back to reality. I felt anger entering my body, but then I remembered what Gabe said and immediately calmed down. Even though I was sure Susan just wanted to know and wasn't trying to irritate me.

"No," I answered simply. "We're best friends." Best friends? I thought. That is what he said right? I now realized he may be my best friend, I doubt Lindsey will ever forgive me. Not that that's what I need to think about right now.

Ok, now this may possibly be one of the best moments to get a thorough explanation on all of the craziness I've experienced.

"So," the old lady started, "I'm guessing the two of you would like an explanation. Just where to start..."

"How about the beginning," Gabe offered.

"Perfect," Susan said. "Let's start there." And the excitement started to rise up in my chest. I could just feel the adrenaline being released in my brain. I was ready. For the answers to the questions that very likely would change my life forever.
