"I will miss you." Simangot ni Rye.
"It's only for two days." Paalala niya rito habang nasa departure area sila ng airport.
Inayos nito ang takas niyang buhok bago sumubsob ng yakap sa kanya. "Sana hindi ko na lang tinanggap ang project na yon." He mumbled hugging her tightly.
Marahan niyang hinaplos ang likod nito. "You already signed the contract. Go ahead, two days lang naman eh. Besides my facetime naman." Pag-aalo niya. Mamaya ay bigla na naman nitong maisipang mag-cancel ng project which he'd done before dahil lang sa ayaw daw siyang mamiss nito.
He kissed her neck which made her stiff. She felt his breath fanning her neck as he chuckled lightly.
"Rye." Saway niya dito.
Umayos ito ng tayo. "I love you." Ngisi nito bago siya siniil ng halik.
"We're on public, Rye." Marahan niyang saad habang nililibot ng tingin ang palagid. Good thing madaling araw at walang masyadong tao.
"Still not a fan of public display of affection?" Naglalaro ang mapang-asar na ngiti sa labi nito. "Baby... we've been together for a year now." Masuyo nitong saad habang hinahaplos ang kanyang pisngi.
She felt herself blush. As usual.
"Damn! Wag na kaya akong umalis?" He sighed. "One look at you and I don't want to leave anymore."
Heto na naman si Rye. "I told you, this is not a good idea. Dapat hindi na ako naghatid sa'yo dito sa airport."
He pecked her lips. "But I'd rather have you here." Hinapit siya nito sa bewang. "Mamimiss kita eh, ng sobra sobra." He pouted.
She pinched his cheeks lightly. "Sige na. Go ahead." She nodded softly.
"Mamaya na pag last call." Pagmamaktol nito.
She sighed. May magagawa pa ba siya? She nodded softly.
"Sabi pala ni mommy, kelan daw tayo babalik sa bahay?" Saad nito habang iginigiya siya paupo. He held her hand as they take a sit.
His parents liked her very much, minsan nga ay sinasadya pa siya ng Mommy nito sa Crescent. Siya na rin ang official na nagdedesign ng mga damit nito. Pinagalitan pa nga ito ng mga magulang noong panahong nagkahiwalay sila.
"Maybe when you come back?"
Tumango ito. "Alright, i'll tell her. Pero sigurado aagawin ka lang na naman niya sa akin. Akala niya siguro hindi ko napapansin na kapag may nakaset tayong lakad eh bigla bigla siyang sumusulpot at nakiki-epal. She's stealing you away from me." Simangot nito.
She chuckled lightly. Pati sariling ina nito pinagseselosan. "I can't say no to her." She smiled at that, Rye's mom is an amazing woman.
"Yun na nga eh. Sabik kasi yon sa anak na babae. Ayan tuloy echapwera na ako." Humilig ito sa kanyang balikat.
Isinandal niya ang ulo sa ulo nito. "Stop being jealous."
Humigpit ang hawak nito sa kanyang kamay. "I know naman na i'll always be number one in your heart." Pagyayabang nito.
She smiled at that. Here goes her ever so conceited Rye. "Um-hmm." She said softly enjoying the moment. Mamimiss niya ang kakulitan at kasweetan nito kahit pa two days lang naman itong mawawala.
