That moment when you should listen to your gut when ordering coffee from McDonald's and not the worker

So since me and my mum moved to a new house. We haven't unpacked everything and haven't had a chance to go grocery shopping. So we go to McDonald's for breakfast, I had originally wanted to get my usual. A caramel mocha, but my mum wouldn't let me. So I ordered a regular large hot caramel coffee. I was going to ask for sugar, but my mum asked if the caramel was already sweet and the lady said that it was. I had a feeling that it wasn't because Caramel flavor isn't usually sweet (unless your at DD and you order it as a swirl). So before I could say that I wanted sugar she had already placed the order. And we were in the drive through, so once we got our order my mum drove off back to the house and while we were driving I took a sip of my coffee. And as it turns my gut feeling was right after all it was not sweet and i could hardly taste the caramel. So once we got to the house I went straight to the kitchen added sugar and some of my own creamer and it ended up somewhat enjoyable to drink. One of the whole reasons we went there for breakfast was so we didn't have to make our own coffee. So I learned two things half asleep at 9:20 in the morning. 1. Always listen to your gut 2. McDonald's employees are liars
