My Gift To You

Chapter 5

Hermione hit him with her free arm but it was pathetic. Her strong arm was in Draco's grasp.

He showed no signs of letting go.

"Malfoy, please!" She begged as fear took over.

He tried grabbing her legs repeatedly. She kicked at his arm with all she could.

Draco straightened and looked her directly in the eyes.

"If you continue to make this difficult, I will fucking throw you off," he sneered.

Hermione looked at him in horror.

"Malfoy, you don't have to do this," she pleaded.

"Actually," he said with a smirk,"I do. See, Snape hung me in the air upside down because I almost slapped you. He tormented me. Now I'm just returning the favor."

Hermione shook her head vigorously.
"No, you're not. You're doing this for your own enjoyment, you're a monster!" She screamed.

He smiled darkly.

"Thank you, Granger," he said in a voice that turned her blood cold.

"It wasn't a compliment!" She screamed.

He dug his fingers in even further as blood ran down her arm. He leaned close to her and whispered in her ear:

"I hope you can fly, Granger, because I'm going to enjoy this."

"Malfoy!" She screamed as he lifted her despite her efforts to fight him off.

"Goodbye, Granger," sneered Malfoy as he threw her.

Hermione screamed. She flailed her arms and legs only to find herself not falling anymore. Tears streamed from her eyes.

She looked to see Severus and Dumbledore standing, watching her.

Severus had his wand out, floating her toward him. She settled in his arms and cried uncontrollably.

He put her down gently, passing her to Dumbledore. She stood next to him as Severus said:
"Watch her, Albus. I have something I need to do."

He ran up the stairs after Draco, who had seen him and bolted.

"DRACO MALFOY!!!" Severus shouted.
Draco,who had been far ahead saw Snape catching up. Fast.

He panicked and turned a corner too quickly, tripping. He scrambled to get back up when Snape was on top of him.

"I warned you, boy!" Snape sneered as he grabbed Draco by the chest.

Draco's eyes widened as Snape lifted him.

He straightened with Draco's shirt still clenched in his fists.

"Put me down," Draco sneered.

Snape smirked.

"As you wish," said Snape as he lifted Draco higher and threw him to the floor.

Draco wheezed as his breath was knocked out of him.

Snape knelt down.

"I'm going to make your life hell, boy," he sneered.

Draco looked at Snape as his head swam.

Snape kicked Draco. He heard a few ribs crack. He didn't care. This boy hurt Hermione. He was going to get it.

Snape lifted Draco so that he stood. And smiled a smile that made Draco's blood run cold.

Draco tried to kick him and missed terribly.
