Levy calms the raging beast

"Midnight! Calm down! You have to calm down!" Rikki yelled but Midnight still looked at them and narrowed her eyes even more. She released a low growl before roaring out once more as the shadows surrounded her completely. It didn't take long before the shadow vortex was busted to see a red/black dragon in the place where Midnight once stood.

"Great~. She just couldn't make it easy could she?" Rikki said sarcastically as he looked on at the dragon.
"No way she turned into a dragon!" yelled Gray.
"No way!"
"Now what do we do?!"
The shouting kept continuing as Midnight's nostrils flared with smoke. Her tail swished slightly as her eyes narrowed down on the people on the ground. She lifted up her left arm and brought it down on the group. Unfortunately for her, it missed. She whipped her tail as soon as she realized she missed sending multiple guild members backwards.
"Geeez she's not letting up is she?"
"No kidding!"
"How are we supposed to turn her to normal if not one of us are even laying a hit!"
Levy looked on as Midnight thrashed about sending guild members across the stadium. She wanted to help her family but Lucy was still in shock from seeing Krista die in front of her. It didn't help that it was her daughter. Speaking of daughters, Levy looked at hers and couldn't look away.
"She's a little like you in a sense ya know." Rikki stated as he walked beside her in his fully grown form holding a silver ring in his hand that jingled as he walked.
"Rikki," the red exceed looked down at her," what can calm her down. You should know right! What can we do to calm her down!?"
"Only Krista knew that answer. She's the only one that knew how to calm Midnight down when she was like this."
"You mean..."
"Not exactly... Krista told me once that she didn't quite get it either. She just listened to what felt right at the moment."
"Felt right?" Levy questioned as her eyes once more fall on the scene of her family getting flung by her daughter. She swallowed nervously before letting go of Lucy. Her legs were shaking as she stood up yet she walked forward to the thrashing dragon.
"Levy! W-wait!" Lucy yelled as she saw her best friend go into the field. Rikki, who saw her go, didn't stop as he saw a look in her eyes.
'Like I said just like her. You wouldn't change your mind even if I told you to. Both are so stubborn.'
Levy walked onto the battlefield looking straight at Midnight. It felt like it was only the two of them at the moment and that no one else was there. All the eyes of the wounded guild members watched as it happened. Levy remembers a song her mom used to sing to her when she tried to be something that she wasn't. She opened her mouth and started to remember the words to the song.

I have crossed the horizon to find you
Levy kept walking as Midnight turned her focus on her now. She growled softly as she saw Levy coming closer.

I know your name
Midnight didn't like how close Levy was getting and growled louder before going to her direction.

They have stolen the heart from inside you
Levy walk on still as she saw Midnight come to her but not scared.

But this does not define you
Midnight stopped right in front of Levy as soon as she stopped walking. Midnight brought her head to eye level with Levy. Levy still went on determination flare in her eyes not willing to give up.

This is not who you are
Midnight's eyes softened a bit as Levy walked closer as she touched her dragon muzzle. It calmed her down instantly. Levy rested her head against it closing her eyes as a magic circle appeared underneath them.

You know who you are
The magic circle lit up as gold stream surrounded Midnight and envelopes her. The dark energy disappears and the gold streams undo to reveal a back to normal human Midnight. She fell forward but before she hit the ground Levy caught her and put her head on her lap watching over her as she slept.
