Laxus stared up into the tree as he took in what he was seeing. Sleeping on the lowest branch, leaning against the tree was Krista. It looked like the branches had made a bed for her in the tree for her to rest. There was no sign of irritation or agitation. She was calm and peaceful in her sleep.
He felt a shock run across his feet and looked down to see an blue electric current. He didn't notice that Krista has opened her eyes and stared at him.
"Hey, whatcha doing?"
Laxus looked to see Krista's eyes still tired. Even with all the rest she got from healing, it seemed that she was still not fully recovered.
"I should ask you the same thing."
"This is where I go when I need to calm down."
It was quiet for sometime. Krista shifted until she sat on the branch with her legs hanging off. It was awkward. This wasn't her first conversation with him but still, she just couldn't talk to him like some stranger. Laxus was her dad, one of her dads.
"So... did you come to talk or did you just want to stare at this pretty face?"
The smug comment brought Laxus out of whatever thoughts he had. He approached the tree but only got close enough so that the branches didn't shield his view of her. The comment reminded him of the stupid saber master.
Before he could talk again yelling was heard that made the two look to see three more people coming.
"Great," Krista rolled her eyes," more annoyances."
Lucy, Natsu and Sting had made their way to the tree and saw Laxus already there. Sting and Natsu looked angry while Lucy looked a bit worried.
"Well isn't this a happy family reunion." Krista sarcastically says as she jumps down from the branch to land at the trees base.
They weren't as tired as before. With the two idiots shouting at Laxus at how he didn't wait for them and Laxus growing annoyed by the two shouting.
"It's seriously hard to believe that these guys are my dads." Krista says in disbelief. Lucy couldn't help but giggle as she made her way to her side.
"Yeah, but even though it was a surprise. They still care for you just as much as I do." Lucy smiles sadly.
"Did it scare you, when you thought I died?"
"Yes," Lucy answers shakily," it felt as if my entire world had shattered. I didn't know why and it hurt even more."
Krista scratched the back of her head nervously as she looked away. Lucy saw this and noticed a her ears reddening. She giggled and grabbed my other wrist before pulling her into a hug. Lucy held her close while Krista eyes were wide with the sudden warmth that came from the sudden action. The guys looked at them as the two hugged.
Lucy kneels in front of Krista while keeping eye contact with her. She brushes the girls bright red hair away from her face only for it to fall back again.
"You really are a beautiful little girl." Lucy states softly.
"You said the same thing when we meet ," Krista says as Lucy gets a bit confused," you said my eyes reminded you of a blonde sabertooth, my wild personality reminder you of a pink dragon, and that my lighting and hair reminded you of a similar blonde mage."
"I said that?" Lucy asked. Krista nods her head not knowing what to talk about. This was the longest talk she and her birth mom had talked. She didn't hate it, in fact it was kinda refreshing.
"Wait, your hair reminded her of Laxus's!?? But your hair is red!" Natsu points out confused at my statement.
"Yeah but I used to be a blonde. The reason my hair is the way it is now is because of the training I went through." Krista explains rolling her eyes.
As they settled down underneath the cherry tree, Krista begins to answer all of there questions or most of them. She kept on dodging the ones about where the dragons are, where she lived, and who she didn't view as a father. Natsu kept on bugging her about those questions which got her annoyed.
"I told you, I can't tell you or it would screw up the time line, ya idiot!"
"What would that matter!?" Natsu yelled back at her.
"I'm not gonna explain this stuff to an idiot like you!"
"What did ya say?" Natsu growled.
"I said-" Krista was cut off by a distant voice coming up the hill. Coming up the hill was Mina. Once she reached the group, she took a bit of time to catch her breath before straightening herself up.
"Lord Bel wanted me to tell you that it was time, Kano."
"Already?" Krista questioned before standing up," then I guess we should be heading back."
"Wait! What do you mean it's time?" Sting asks
"It's time for me to head back to my own time."
That was all Krista said as she walked with Mina following close behind her. Leaving her three dads and her mom to stare at her shocked. They had no idea what to do, they had meet their future daughter but they didn't want her to go so soon.
