Chapter 7
Kennet woke up and heard birds chirping outside her window. She sat up and stretched. Keith was still sleeping soundly next to her so she carefully climbed out of bed so she could take a shower.
When she walked out of the bathroom, she saw Keith sitting on the edge of the bed hunched over. Her heart immediately broke.
"Keith! What's wrong?" she said as she ran over and kneeled in front of him.
He smiled, "Nothing, now that you're here."
She stood and sat on the bed next to him. He stared into her eyes for a minute. Then he leaned forward and kissed her. The kiss started out gentle and grew more passionate. Kennet wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
"Aaaawwww!" They heard Jade's voice behind them and quickly pulled apart. She smirked but was cut off as Kyle dipped her and kissed her. When he stood her back up, she nearly fell back so he held on to her waist. She rolled her eyes but didn't protest.
"So, guess who's the best friend ever." Jade said happily.
"What did you do?" Kennet asked.
"I got us a house, well my aunt and uncle did. They felt bad about not being able to help pay for the bonding. They had a house that they built 10 years ago and they never moved into because they wanted to sell it but now their going to let us have it. It's a huge log house with plenty of land for our training." Kennet explained.
"I can't believe it!" Kennet shouted.
The two girls did a happy dance around the room while the boys just stared at them.
"What? I told you to expect anything." Kennet said with a hand on her hip.
"Yeah I know, it's just that, um..." Keith's face turned red. "You looked hot."
"Don't be embarrassed. I practically drool on myself every time I look at you. Plus, You're my husband. You shouldn't be embarrassed to tell me I look hot." Kennet told Keith. She gave him a kiss on the cheek before turning towards Jade.
"We should go check out the house. We have nothing better to do since they have to track down the ex-spidat." Kennet smiled and walked out of the room to go eat.
As she poured her bowl of fruitios, Keith walked up behind her and hugged her from behind.
"Hey!" Kennet said as she almost spilled her milk. She took her bowl over to the island and sat down to eat.
"What? I thought you liked my hugs." he said with a pout.
"Don't make that face. It's not very attractive." she said pointing at him with her spoon.
"I thought you drooled every time you looked at me."
"Ha, not when you make that face."
Keith got a spoon and dipped into her cereal.
"Do you have a problem about stealing other people's food? 'Cause I'm not really the sharing type."
"I know you're not. I found that out the hard way." Keith rubbed his arm.
The morning before the bonding, they had gone out for ice cream. Keith had tried to steal hers and she had done a kick that came around and hit him in the shoulder. She smiled at the memory.
