Chapter 11
Keith woke up as his lovely wife smacked him in the face. He looked over to see her rolling around in their bed, muttering in her sleep. When she sat up and screamed, he pulled her close, stroking her hair and telling her it was alright. When she finally stopped shaking he let go and looked into her crystal blue eyes. He missed her deeply and when he let go, she got up and walked out into the kitchen.
"Hey, can you tell me what happened last night?" he asked her as he followed her into the kitchen.
"I was just stressed." she answered nonchalantly.
"What did you talk with Meg about?"
"Oh, I just asked her if it was signs that we were getting too much exercise."
"Okay, people, listen up!" Meg flew down as Jade and Kyle walked up. "I am aware that Jade and Kennet have been getting sick as a result of the extra conditioning so today I will let you do as you please.
Kennet finished her breakfast and changed into jeans and a t-shirt with two stick men on it. One didn't have a line connecting the legs and the arms and the other one had a line at the end of one of his arms. Across the stomach it said I got your back. She put her hair into a braid. Keith walked into the bedroom and chuckled under his breath.
"Something you find funny?" she asked him in a happy voice.
"I love your shirt. I will never be bored with you as my wife and why are you so happy." He replied.
"I don't really know. I would be happy even if we had to do a full day of conditioning. It must be hormones or something that is probably too much information." She brushed his question aside as she stared out the window at the giant pine tree in the yard. She had a huge grin spread across her face.
He smiled. He had never seen her this happy.
"What do you want to do today?" he asked her, curious.
She thought for a moment. "Oh, why don't we go to the mall and shop for a bigger variety of training clothes." He smiled at the excitement in her eyes.
"That sounds fun." He smiled and pulled her into a hug. He felt her shiver when he started trailing light kisses down her neck. She grabbed his head and pulled it up. He smiled and kissed her, bending her backwards. When he lifted her back up and pulled apart. She grabbed his shoulders and held on for balance.
"You should warn a girl before you kiss her like that." Her smile told him she was still in a good mood.
He pulled his shirt over his head so he could put on a faded camoflauge one. He felt Kennet's eyes on him and turned toward her.
"What, do you like the view?" he mimicked her hip swish movement and she replied in a deep voice, "Oh, you better believe it." He laughed but was silenced with her lips on his. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. She ran her hands through his hair and down his back. She gave a small cry of indignation when he pulled back. She quickly realized what she had done and her face turned red.
"Babe, don't be embarrassed. I know you love me and I love you too but I gotta get dressed if we want to make it to the mall before it gets too busy. It is Saturday after all." He pulled the faded shirt over his head and put on a pair of black sweatpants.
