I began to shiver as the water soaked into my clothes. Never had emotion struck me so hard. I couldn't stop thinking about Bae. I had let him down. I couldn't stop myself form sobbing when I thought of him being left with no one but himself. I rested my head in my knees. I had only seen his father once. Bae had told me he was the dark one, but his looks alone terrified me.
It had grown dark, but it was quickly broken by the dim glow of a lantern. I didn't bother wiping away my tears. It was Hook again. "Come to throw water at me again?" A said with a sniff. "I was actually going to give you dinner." My only reply was silence as a looked to the left to seem distracted. After I heard the lock click, I saw him reach his hand out, offering me the bread. "Not much, but it's what I've got mate," he said blandly as I took it from his hand. "Thanks," I said insincerely. He then did something I didn't expect. He reached down, took the other end of the chain, and attached it to a metal piece on the wall outside of where I was sitting. "Let's chat, shall we?" I slowly reached out my arm to climb, but flinched in pain and quickly switched to the other one. He pretended not to notice.
I stood up and sighed with relief as I stretched my legs and my arms as much has I could. I remained standing when I ate my small portion of bread and drank a cup of water. "What made you do this," I asked, "change of heart?" I mocked his smirk with one of my own. "You could say that," he said with a small smile as he sat in a chair that faced he, "I have my reasons." "Does that mean you can tell me why I'm here?" "Sorry love, I'm not in the position to give away pans plans." My mouth twisted a bit in thought. "So this Pan, he is the ruler of Neverland?" I say as more of a statement than I question. "Aye," he replied, "just him and his lost ones." Somehow I had heard that before. Maybe I had heard someone in the village speaking of it.
I saw Hook glance out the window and sigh. You can stay up here for the night if you'd like, it it quite cramped down there." I nodded as I sat on the wood floor of the small room, I shelf to my left. He nodded before walking out of the room in the blink of an eye.
I awoke before dawn to see my arm was in a sling and a blanket was draped across my lower half.
