I woke up to my head pounding and the shadow of a figure standing in front of me. I was suspended by my arms, only my toes reaching the floor. The coldness of the cave made me shiver as my vision began to clear. It was Pan, standing only a few feet in front of me. I groaned in pain, unable to move.
"I see our little Wolfie is awake." After rolling my eyes at the comment, I twisted my wrists in discomfort. "What's the point of this if I can't move in the first place," I mumbled, shifting around with what little strength I had. Suddenly he reached out and grabbed my injured arm. I tried to pull away, but his grip only tightened. I looked down to see a dagger in his other hand. "I suggest you watch your tone," he said intimidatingly, "you've already played your game, now it's time to play mine." When he let go, every muscle in my body relaxed and I could feel a tear trail down my cheek. I couldn't wipe it away. I could hear pan scoff at me. "So weak for someone so eager to fight." He raised his hand above his head, dagger in hand, and I prepared for the pain.
I fell to the ground. He had cut the rope. My hands were now tied in front of me as I lied on my knees and varied my face in my arms and sobbed. My body shook violently as Pan walked away, and I could see him snap his fingers. A cage appeared around me. But he didn't need it to keep me here for I was too weak to move.

Was this his plan? To hurt me? Break me? I wished to escape, but it wasn't that simple. Maybe I could use my memories, my stories. I closed my eyes and thought of Baelfire and his past memories. I saw the trees and the flowers and the sunshine. Everything seemed so beautiful, that is until I was shaken from my thoughts by footsteps.
I stood quickly, almost losing balance due to my tied hands. It was Pan. I could feel the fear rise in my chest as I pressed my back against the far corner of the bars. "I hope you've learned to play fair," he said, his words like poison, "I knew your weakness would be revealed easily." I moved my gaze to my bare feet. My clothes were tattered and torn, and the cold settled beneath my skin. I quickly glanced up to make eye contact with him. "So there is no way you can tell me why I'm here?" I asked quietly, not wanting to get myself in more trouble.
"You are here because someone plans to use you against me. I will not tell you why, but you will know in good time. Now, let's see..."
With one quick click of his fingers, the cage was gone, my clothes were replaced, and all that was around my wrist was a single leather cuff. I was afraid to move. When pan started walking away, he gestured for me to follow. Outside stood two other boys that looked a little older than I. As we made it out of the forest and into a clearing, I could feel my confidence begin to flow back into me. "So this is neverland," I say to pan as I lean against a tree with my arms crossed. "That it is," he said with a nod. "You are free to wander as long as you don't leave the camp." And with that, he left.
I turned a few times and took in my surroundings. The sun was setting and fires were burning. The younger boys ran around the camp while the older ones talked casually between each other or fought with sticks. I was started when someone tapped me on the shoulder. In fact, I was so startled that I threw a punch at whoever it was. Luckily for them, they caught my hand. "Sorry," I mumbled, pulling my hand away and looking at the ground. "No big deal. I know you're new around here."
I looked up to see a boy with brown hair that lit up by the light of the fire and ocean blue eyes. "I'm sky," I said, extending my hand. "Jay," he said as he shook my hand.

And that was the beginning of my first friendship on this horrible island.
