The light was blinding as my new location revealed itself. I was laying on the ground against a tree. I could see lost boys in every direction and Pan directly in front of me. My entire body ached and I groaned in pain. "What happened?" I murmured to myself. "I took your shadow," Peter answered, "now a piece of you will always be on this island calling to you. Take a look at your right shoulder." I could barely comprehend his words before I glanced to see a "P" that looked similar to a tattoo. I tried rubbing it and wiping my hand over it, but it stayed undamaged. I could feel tears well up as pan turned to leave. I could feel an emptiness settle in my soul. I couldn't move. I couldn't cry. I just stared into the forest until I began to dose off.
I was jostled awake by Jay lifting me off the ground and carrying me into the tree house. "Wait," I said as he turned to leave, "will you stay with me for a while." He nodded with a small smile as he sat next to me on the floor. We leaned against each other in silence and fell asleep.

I hadn't left the tree house in a few days. The emptiness never subsided but some rumors of a newcomer drew me out of my hiding place. It was dark out when the commotion began.
I could here the whispering as I walked through the camp. My attention was drawn to something more unusual. There was a girl walking in my direction. I thought it was just my imagination at first, for I had never seen anyone but boys here before. She didn't seem distressed or afraid. "Hello," she said to me,"I'm Wendy." I knew everything about her just by her name. She had seen Baelfire. "Do you want to go talk somewhere quieter?" She nodded with an innocent smile as we wandered to an almost silent area of the camp.
"You must be Tiger Lily, I've heard of you," Wendy said. At first I was confused, but then I quickly realized Pan and/or Jay had been spreading rumors and nicknames. "I guess that's me..." I mumbled before continuing, "so why are you here?" "The shadow brings me here," she told me, "I come quite often, almost every night now. Is it the same for you?" I gave her an odd look before dodging her question. "Not exactly, but that's not important right now. I need to ask you about someone. Baelfire. I know you've seen him. Please, is he alright?" Her eyes widened at the mention of his name and she nodded quickly. "I believe he's told me of you. You must be sky," she said with sadness in her voice, "he says you took care of him. But you were taken." I couldn't even respond before she had to leave. A little drop of hope in my shadowless soul told me everything would be alright after learning Bae had found a family.
