It seemed like hours that The plain grey clouds looked down upon me until the stars shone, scattered around the deep blue sky.
I had decided to sit down a while ago, for my weak and damaged legs had grown tired quickly. I yawned quietly, but by that time hook had already approached me. "How long until we reach Neverland?" I asked him, not wanting to bare the cold silence any longer. "A few weeks," he responded, his voice barely reaching my ears in the wind. "It's time for you to return below deck, love," he said with only a hint of concern hiding behind the blank face he held well.
The thought of going back in that small room made me sick. I was not accustomed to staying inside, or having a roof over my head at all. It felt as if the walls would close in on me.
"Please," I pleaded, "you can do whatever you want with me, tie me up out here, throw me into the waves if you wish, just don't make me go back inside." Every word I spoke was did its job: denting his forever solid mind and heart. I would fight if I had to.
Without a word he walked me down the steps to the main part of the deck. Another pirate quickly walked over. "Chain her to the mast," he ordered without even glancing at me. In a few quick motions my arms were outstretched on either side of me and the chain ran around the mask, connecting them. All I did was watch as Hook disappeared with the rest of the crew below deck. Once again I was left alone with my thoughts.
Any moment I had was used thinking and worrying about Baelfire. I wondered where he was, and if his father had done any more damage.  Soon my mind wandered to Hook. Such an interesting man. He had never given me his real name. Just Hook.
It was darker than it would've been inside, only one lanturn swaying loosely. I didn't care, as long as I could see the sky. Through the darkness, I could see the clouds begin to gather. The sprinkle of rain rested atop my eyelashes as I smiled up at the sky and closed my eyes. I spotted hook peering through the window in the door that lead below deck. I didn't bother paying him any attention. This was all I needed right now. It was the best I could get.
Eventually I sat down, the chain clanking on the ground behind me. The rain poured now and I shivered, but I fell asleep within minutes. Peace at last.
