We eventually made it to the forest just beyond the cliffs. "It's just past here," Jay said, pointing me in the right direction. With a small nod I walked slowly through the trees. Suddenly I wished I weren't alone. I had no clue what I would face in the next few minutes.
My thoughts were interrupted by Pan's appearance. "Ah, so you came. Smart choice." I avoided eye contact. "Why am I here?" "To learn." Confusion hit me. Before I could ask, a lost boy came at me with a wooden stick. I quickly grabbed one I found next to me. I blocked a few hits before my legs were hit by someone else's weapon. I tried to stand, but I was knocked down and hit a few more times. "That's enough boys," pan said with a smirk, "take her to the tree." I was basically dragged up a ladder into a little tree house and thrown on the floor. I could barely move. "You can leave if you want, but you'll have to fight," he said with a small laugh before closing the hatch behind him. I groaned in pain as I tried to stand. The room was empty except for a small cot in the corner and a window on the wall. I peaked out. I saw the trees waving in the wind, taunting me.
_____________________________________Everyday I tried to fight the boys and lost. I began to grow stronger but was still unable to win. Every night I was thrown back up in the tree house. Jay came by to bring me food. One day when I woke up, there was a tiger Lily next to my food. I rolled my eyes and put the flower on the window sill. Today I would win, I told myself. And I did.
By the time the fight was over, I was battered and bruised but 2 boys were on the ground and knocked out. "Congratulations," I heard Peter say with a slow clap, "you're free to roam the island once again. But you'll be staying here at night." I only glared at him before dashing off into the forest. I climbed into one of the tallest trees on the island and looked out to see the jolly Roger once again. I stood at the edge of the forest just next to the beach. Hook was standing in the sand about to leave. He had been waiting.
"Wait!" I shouted, holding myself back from running to him. He turned towards me and began walking. "I've been waiting a bloody eternity, where were you?" He almost shouted. "Long story," I mumbled, "but I saw Baelfire. Well, sort of. But he's okay as long as I stay here. I can't leave. It pointless." Hook shook his head. "We'll find a way. I have to leave before pan finds you. I'll come back soon." I watched him leave with sadness. Walking through the trees, I found Jay. "Hey," I said to him as I leaned against a tree. He gave me a smile that made me smile back. The sun was going start to set in an hour, so I helped him start a fire. We sat next to each other and talked for a while. I told him about Baelfire. He told me about his life before Neverland. "It was like an escape at first, but now it's home," he told me. "I have a home, or at least, I thought I did," I responded, "but now I think it's gone." His arm was around me again, but this time I didn't pull away. I leaned in and didn't move. "You could like it here, just give it a chance." I sighed tiredly. "I guess I should head back," I told him, "Pan really loves to keep track of my slip ups." Jay nodded and waved good bye as I walked away.
"You two seem close," I heard an all too familiar voice say. "You here to ruin my life again?" I asked Pan as he walked beside me. He grabbed me wrist that was covered by the cuff and removed it. "Not this time, but you'll soon learn you don't need me to do that."
