Andrew barged into his apartment. Marcus, his roommate, looked up from the couch.
"Hey man, what's wrong?" Marcus asked.
"I have to tell her," Andrew groaned and put his head in his hands.
"Tell her that you joined a gang to make money? Dude thats a bad idea," Marcus warned him.
"She's going to find out," he growled.
"Everyone in the gang knows you as Jack and you always wear a mask around the boss, so there's no way they'd be able to trace her from you. Don't tell her, it will only endanger her." Marcus said. Andrew clenched his fists. What the hell have I dragged myself into? he thought. He looked over to see an uneasy look on Marcus' face. "Dude, drop the knife," Marcus pleaded as he stepped away from him. Startled, Andrew looked down to see that he was indeed holding a knife.
"Sorry Marcus, I'm just on edge," Andrew sighed and placed the knife on the table.
"It's okay, just lay down and think it all over," Marcus said still uneasy. Andrew jumped onto his bed. A million thoughts ran through his head. They all lead back to Harleen.
"Hey Andrew, the boss just texted me. He says he has a small heist for us tonight. He wants us to meet him at 9 by Arnold's bar. He said to wear the usual black with our masks. Are you still on?" Marcus asked. Andrew laid still for a second. Then he sat up and looked at Marcus.
"Yeah, I'm on," he smiled.
