Harley was on edge waiting for someone to come through her door. She had just gotten home from work and Joker said that someone would come by tonight.

Ding dong!

She slowly walked to the door and opened it. She did not expect to see the figure standing in front of her.

"Hi Harley, I'm Rue," a short brunette smiled.

"Hi um are you..." she stuttered.

"You're trainer? Yep," she said and stepped into the room, "I bet you were expecting a muscular man."

"I'm not going to lie but I was," Harley chuckled.

"J wouldn't have sent me if I wasn't the best out of all of the henchmen. I've been with him since day one. All of the other ones have been replaced," she smirked.

"You must be really good then," she replied.

"Oh I am. I'm second in command,"she said grabbing Harley's hand. She took her and threw her to the ground.

"Ow what the hell," Harley groaned on the ground.

"Up! I only have two weeks to train you," she commanded. Harley slowly got up from the ground.

"J told me you were good at gymnastics right?" Rue asked.

"That's right."

"Okay so whenever I flip you you're going to do a backbend and land back on your feet," she said.

"Sounds easy enough," Harley joked. Rue grabbed her wrist and flipped her. Harley bent backwards, but when she tried to land she fell backwards.

"You almost got it Harley. Again!" Rue encouraged her.

"Remind me to never underestimate you," she smiled.

"I can tell we're going to get along," Rue smiled back.

After backbends came punches, then kicks, and after blocks. Right before the two weeks were over Harley was a pro.

"Water?" Harley asked Rue as she poured herself a glass.

"Yes please," Rue panted.

"So are you and J friends?" Harley asked. Rue laughed.

"Honey, Joker doesn't like having friends. But I guess you could say that I have a close partnership with him," she said.

"I haven't seen him in weeks," Harley replied.

"I'm sure you'll see him soon enough," Rue smiled, "You must be really special to him."

A smile spread across Harley's face. "I guess so, but in a twisted sort of way."

"Everything is twisted with the Joker," Rue laughed.

"Thanks for taking the time to train me Rue. I don't know for sure why Joker is doing this to me but I'm glad you're the one he chose to help me," Harley said.

"I'm not sure either, but I'll always have your back Harley."

"Thanks Rue. I'll be there for you too," Harley hugged her.

"Oh tomorrow come to my house at 5. The address is 554 Gotham Green Drive. Don't be late!" Rue emphasized.

"But I don't get off of work until 6," she replied.

"I don't care girl. Make up an excuse because you have to be there at 5 or else," Rue grinned.

"Jeez you're starting to sound like Joker," Harley chuckled.

"Oh you have no idea."
