Hot water ran down Harleen's body. A nice shower was one of the only things that ever helped comfort her. It wasn't really helping this time. She had too many things on her plate. She ran her hands through her wet hair as moments flashed through her head. She hadn't seen Andrew in two days and he hadn't tried to text her. She was beyond furious with him. Abby, Sloanne, and herself had taken Mr. Quinzel to the emergency room. The first thing Mr. Quinzel did when he was feeling slightly better was yell at the nurse to tell the police to charge Andrew Marlow with assault. Apparently, there was no Andrew Marlow in the system. They had been dating for almost a whole year and he had used a fake name with her. A FAKE NAME. She wanted nothing more than to burn the memories away. How could she have been so stupid?

"Harley, it's not your fault," Sloanne had tried to comfort her.

"Of course its her fault. She chose to date a criminal!" her father screamed.

Harley just wanted to forget the whole situation. Luckily, her family had left a few hours earlier and Sloanne was over at her new boyfriend's apartment. It gave her some time to reflect. Little did she know that there was someone creeping closer and closer to find her.

Marcus was silent as he snuck up the fire escape to Harleen's apartment.
"Is it the 3rd or 4th floor?" He muttered to himself as he tried to recall the one memory he had of coming here with Andrew. Suddenly a sharp pain pierced through his back.
"Uh uh," he stuttered and collapsed on the steps.
"Ha ha ha," a familiar voice laughed. Marcus turned around to see the Joker behind him. He was horrified to see the bloody smile that consumed the man's face.
"See Marcus, this is a prime example of why you shouldn't get yourself wrapped up in other people's business." Joker pulled the knife out and Marcus gasped.

"Please man, we've been through so much together. Don't kill me and I'll give you anything. I won't come near Harleen again," he pleaded.

"Oh I'm not concerned about her," Joker replied. A look of pained confusion crossed over Marcus' face.

"What concerns me is that you thought that you could go and kill someone without my orders. I don't like that Marcus. I don't like that at all," he growled and held the knife to Marcus' throat.

"Please don't," he cried. With one quick swish, Marcus' throat was slashed.

"Oops too late," Joker laughed. He dragged the body back down the stairs.

"Now you're none of my concern," he said to the inanimate body. Then he looked up at Harleen's window. "And neither are you."
