Stiles Stilinski always treated his girl like a princess. No, he treated Y/N like a queen.
To him, she was a queen. She had the jaw dropping beauty that a queen would have. She had the big heart and outstanding intelligence a queen would have, so it only made sense for her to be treated in such a way.
Their relationship was just barely starting out. It was the middle of sophomore year and Stiles had met Y/N when it started. Because of the amazing amount of classes they had together, Y/N and Stiles immediately developed a friendship.
Y/N made Stiles forget all about the crush he had on Lydia Martin. To him, it was almost as if Lydia didn't exist. Y/N was his main focus and the only thing he cared about more than his dad and Scott.
However, there was a minor flaw in their relationship. Since Scott and Stiles had stepped into the world of werewolves and alphas, Stiles' world turned upside down. He wanted to keep Y/N safe from everything, but it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Stiles was having the same problem with Y/N that Scott was having with Allison. The lies.
Stiles hated lying to Y/N more than anything. Every relationship should be built in trust and honesty and Stiles was a firm believer in that. He thought honesty was key to a perfect relationship. Y/N even began to notice something was off with Stiles.
She didn't quite know what was going on. Actually, she was completely stumped as to what was causing Stiles' abnormal behavior. The usually perfectly planned Stiles would show up late for study dates or even regular dates. His phone was always near him, but he stopped answering or replying to texts. He lied to her and that worried Y/N.
Y/N knew that Stiles wasn't every girl's dream guy, but what if he found someone better. To add to his odd behavior, he hid things from her. When Stiles got a call, he would step into the other room and talk very quietly. He wasn't a cheater, was he?
One night, Stiles and Y/N were supposed to be having a movie night at his house and there she was, sitting in her car, parked in his driveway. His jeep was gone and so was the sheriff's patrol car. She'd been calling him for what felt like hours when in reality it was ten minutes. Each time the phone would ring, her heart picked up as she hoped it would answer but it fell each time the voicemail rang from the other side of the phone.
Frustrated, Y/N turned off her phone and threw it on the passenger's seat. She groaned as her hands ran through her silky hair. By now the clock read nine and they were supposed to meet at eight o'clock. A whole hour, this was a new low for Stiles. She turned on the car and gave up on the whole night. If Stiles really cared, he'd at least have the audacity to send a text, right?
Making her way home, Y/N thought about a serious decision. Maybe it was time to call it quits with the sarcastic boy with a buzz cut. Sure, Y/N absolutely adored him and this was the only guy she'd ever cared for, but it didn't seem like Stiles felt the same. Even though her heart hurt just thinking about breaking up with him, it seemed to be in her best interest.
A ping from the phone in the passenger seat took Y/N's mind away from her deep thoughts. When she pulled up to a stop sign, she checked the phone really quick.
Unknown: Come to the high school. My phone is not working so I used Scott's. - Stiles
Well there was the text message. A still very angry Y/N took a left and drove towards the high school. Ignoring the feeling in her stomach, Y/N drove to the school she dreaded going into every morning. She pulled into the parking lot and saw Jackson Whittemore's black corvette. Confused, she pulled up next to it and saw Lydia and Jackson in the front seat.
Jackson saw Y/N and rolled down his window. "What are you doing here?" Jackson seemed genuinely concerned which was a knew thing. Y/N hadn't known him for long, but whenever they talked he was a total jackass.
