There was a movie playing in the front of the living room, and most of the McCall pack was watching with rapt attention, but Liam Dunbar was completely and utterly immersed in something different. Her. Y/N. And God, was she focused on him. He had one arm wrapped around her shoulders, the other slung across her waist. Her head was on his chest, listening to the slow, steady beating of his heart and knowing he was doing the same with his... peculiar abilities, as they both called it.
His fingers lightly traced patterns in her skin, drawing circles in her palms. He always wanted as much contact as he possibly could; innocent hand holding, an arm wrapped securely around her waist, one hand on the small of her back when walking.
Being around her was bliss, and so you never really saw one without the other. It was just the way it was, and the entire McCall pack found it both adorable and infuriating.
Stiles gently nudged Lydia, who was sitting next to him on the couch across the room. He leaned over, whispering in her ear, "Look at those two. They're at it again. The two lovey-dovey, mushy gushy dorks are getting too much for me, I swear." With a shake of his head, Stiles leaned back against the couch as Lydia turned her head, her attention now on Stiles.
"I think they're adorable," she said, giving the couple a small, affectionate smile even though they were too caught up with each other to notice. "I wish my first relationship had been that sweet." Lydia rolled her eyes at Stiles, who had a scrunched up look on his face of thinly veiled disgust. "You just think it's weird because Y/N is like your little sister. You can't deny how cute they are, though."
The boy shrugged just as Malia wandered over, having been listening in on their conversation.
"Lydia's right, they can barely take their eyes off each other, and when they do it's barely more than a minute. It's a mixture of gross and adorable. I can't decide which one I lean more toward." Before anyone could respond, Liam's eyes focused on the trio, a blush coating his cheeks.
"Stop talking about us, we can hear you," Liam called across the room, one of his hands stroking Y/N's hair subconsciously as she buried her head in his chest.
She often disliked being the center of attention, and when the topic of conversation switched from the movie playing on the television to how adorable her and Liam's relationship was, embarrassment got the better of her. "We can't help it that we're cute, if you don't like it go somewhere else."
"Why don't you two get a room?" Stiles retorted, arms folded like a child. Scott, sitting on the floor by Stiles' knees with Kira, shook his head with a sigh.
"We don't want them getting a room, remember? They're hormonal kids," Scott added in a not-so-hushed whisper, causing Liam's blush to darken and Y/N to groan, still hiding her face in the crook of Liam's neck. The pack made cooing noises at the sight, Lydia and Kira giggling wildly."Hey, you're embarrassing her, leave us alone," Liam said defensively, rubbing your back. He could hear your heartbeat rising, and it was a wonder that the rest of your pack couldn't smell your obvious anxiety.
"Just go away. Watch the movie. Stop embarrassing my girlfriend, and me, while you're at it!"
"But you guys are so adorable!" Kira said in a sing-song voice, taking out her phone. "Can I take a picture? To preserve memories?"
Y/N finally came out from her hiding spot, her and Liam shouting, "No!" at the same time. The commotion died down after that, the pack assembled around Scott's television in order to rewind and finish the movie. When it finally ended, everyone stood up to go home except the young couple. They were still lying next to each other, sound asleep; Liam resting his head atop Y/N's, as if he were pressing a kiss there, and no one doubted that he already had before passing out on the couch beside her, completely at ease.
"I hope these two stay together for a long time," Lydia spoke softly, standing up so she could place a blanket over them. Liam and Y/N were too cute for words, and while people may say that first relationships never really last, Lydia had a feeling these two would be together for a long, long while.
