Theo Raeken did not beg. He didn't beg for his own pack, the title of a real werewolf. Nothing. He wouldn't allow himself to speak a word that would leave him vulnerable to another. He was given things and earned them. If that meant having to kill, capture or fight, he would. But he wouldn't beg.
Yet as he stood in front of the dread doctors, your limp body hanging in his arms and your blood soaking both of your clothes, he sank to his knees, eyes filled with tears and begged.
He begged for your life and the doctors to save you. After everything he had done for them and sacrificed, he begged that they would spare you and save you even if that meant changing you. Because as you lay dead in his arms and against his chest, Theo Raeken, the boy who didn't beg wanted nothing more than you alive again.
He had tried to convince you to go home. He held your hand in his and bought it to his lips, kissing your palm whispering for you to go. Yet you stayed.
"I'll be okay Theo. It's just a lacrosse game." You said, pressing your lips against his. "You worry too much."
He had managed to shield you off from the supernatural. Making a deal with the dread doctors that they would not touch you and warning Scott's pack to keep you out of this. So when he said to go home and you asked why, he could only say he had a bad feeling. You just smiled and reassured him that you would both be fine.It was moments like that when your life was in danger that he wanted to tell you but decided against it. You already had enough going on and being apart of the supernatural would do you more harm then good.
He questioned if he was being selfish in not telling you. You were the only good thing in his life – the only non supernatural aspect of his world and as your finale breath left your body he wondered if this could have all been avoided. If, when the beast attacked you you could have fought back or healed if you were a supernatural, or have in the first place left because you knew what was coming.
But changing you into a chimera and telling you of the supernatural were two completely different things and he wanted neither of them for you.
So yes, he told himself he was being selfish. That if he had only told you instead of keeping you to himself you would be home now asleep in your bed, not your blood covering you both.
"Please, I begging you, help." He cried now. There was no stopping it. He kept you close to him, no longer worried about being seen as weak and less of someone, he just wanted you back.
"She is already dead." They said, the static from their voices echoing through the tunnels.
"You can help. I know you can." He stood now, taking you closer to them. "Change her. Please."
He didn't worry about the tears anymore. He let them run down his face and stain his checks. The same check that your hand held only moments ago as he said to stay awake for him.
"Please, Y/n. Look at me. Stay awake." He whispered to you, pulling you into his lap, your legs stretched across his and back resting against his chest.
"I love you Theo." You had put all energy left into those words, each harder then the one before.
His hands pressed down on your wound, trying to stop the bleeding from the cut right across your stomach. When he had seen the beast's claw cut right across you, his body stopped, only a scream leaving him as he saw you fall.
"I knew school was bad but I didn't think I was actually going to die here." You joked, smiling slightly through your bloody lips.
"You're not going to die." Theo whispered, his breath shaky as he pulled you closer to him.
"I want to see your face." You whispered, knowing that you were in fact going to die. You didn't know what that thing was or why Theo's eyes glowed gold when you fell, all you knew was that you sure weren't going to see the school corridor lockers as your last thing.
Theo moved you around, wincing when you did. He crossed you over him, your back against his arm and legs over his thigh. You smiled upon seeing his face, his tear stained and blood splattered face. "You do good for me, okay." You said, reaching to cup his jaw. He held his hand over yours and leant into your hold.
"You're going to do something amazing Theo. My sweet Theo." You smiled. "I don't know what that thing was but it's not your fault. You are not a monster and my death is not on your hands, understand?"
He nodded his head for you despite himself knowing the truth. "You are to good to have something like that over you. It's not your fault."
You were coughing now. Your body beginning to shut down and pulse weaker. Theo could hear it too. Every breath that left your body was getting weaker and weaker, your pulse staining his ears to hear.
"She's a weakness. She'll bring you down if she's back." One said, walking away.
Theo was getting angry now. He walked up to them, you still with him. "Look!" He yelled, demanding them to look at your still body. "Just save her!"
The doctor turned around coming right up to Theo, "No."
Theo's heart broke again. He needed them to save you, he couldn't go on without you and as cheesy as it was, it was true.
He knew he could get them to and knew a way how but it would mean his plan coming to an end, but in that moment the boy who never begged didn't give it a second thought.
"Move my abilities to her." Theo said, drawing the attention from the doctors right back. The doctors looked between one another before back at you.
"I know you want to. It'll be another experiment! I heard you talking about it before. You wanted to change Tracey and Josh but don't, do it to us."
"Very well." The doctors walked to the lab, Theo rushing fast behind them.
The doctors had never done this before successfully, every attempt failing each time. They had especially not done it with one of the experiments to be dead and that was exactly why Theo knew they wouldn't miss the chance.
In only a few moments the two were against the operating table. Wires, chords and all sorts were coming from you both and into the other. If this was a success then Theo would become human. His abilities going to you and healing you back to recovery. The risk being Theo's life didn't phase him. He watched you besides him, his head turned to see your face as the doctors spoke around him.
You chapped lips were parted, hair messy around your face, arms laying at your sides were he placed them when he out you down.
Theo also knew that if this worked he would no longer work with the doctors, you would take his place. But in his mind Theo had already planned to take you away from Beacon Hills so they could never touch you again. You would be away from your family and friends, possibly hate him for taking you away but you would be safe.
"Begin the transmission." The doctor called, pressing down on every switched on the bench.
Within those few moments Theo felt the most pain possible. He was poked, torn and shredded of his abilities wrapped deep in his genes, sending them straight to you.
He was making the ultimate sign of love and sacrificing himself for you.
