We got down from the taxi and went to Matt's place.

"We usually go to Alex's after gigs, but now I'm the one with the biggest apartment, so..." Matt tried to explain me as we went inside.

Alex headed to the bathroom, but left the door open. I couldn't help myself but peeking inside.

"Man, where're you keeping your hair gel?" he asked.

"I guess it's on the shelf." Matt replied from the other room.

The drummer got behind me and put his arms on my shoulders. I startled. I was in an unknown place with five strangers in the middle of the night. Cool, now I was an adult.

"Ready to go?" Jamie asked after everyone visited the bathroom.

"Marie, do you need anything?" Miles asked me politely.

"No, no, I'm ok, thanks" I smiled back to him.

"You're a very sweet girl, you know that?"

"Thank you, Miles."

"Alex is very lucky!"

"Yeah, I guess he is..."

Cool, now everyone wanted to flirt with me. Awkward conversation with my new boyfriend's drunk best friend. Sorry, very drunk best friend.

The taxi had been waiting for us all this time and we got inside it again. Beer, cigarette smoke and aftershave all over. While being inside the apartment, I hardly found a moment on my own and I was able to perfume myself again and apply a little more lipstick. Just in case.

We went to a weird part of the town and the driver got us on a small isolated street. We got out and entered through a small door full of graffiti. The hell is this?

I guess this is my end. They got me here. They will kill me. But after they rape me, of course. What have I done? This is my end. I will die on my birthday. This is going to be my first and last day at 20. Goodbye cruel world!

But no. We entered a huge room in the basement of the building. The room was full with people dancing. When the guys arrived, everyone turned their heads and cherished them. Actually us. I was there too. Ok, maybe I wasn't going to die. I became to feel more and more ashamed with my earlier thought. Alex came behind me and put his arm around my waist.

"Ready to party?" he asked.

"You know, I don't dance..."

"You're crazy, darlin'! C'mon!"

He took my hand and we walked through the crowd. We sat on the bar stools and he asked me what I wanted to drink.

"Jack Daniels. With ice."

The barman served me very fast and I sipped from the drink. I haven't drunk for a while. As a dedication, the Arctic Monkeys song "I bet you look good on the dancefloor" started and everyone went crazy.

"I bet you look good on the dancefloor, darlin'" Alex invited me to dance and I couldn't say no.

I crossed my fingers, hoping I wouldn't stumble. I started to dance crazily and Alex looked really surprised. But damn, he was good! I moved every part of my body in the sexiest way possible and I could see it in his eyes. He was crazy about me, too.

Damn, I really started to feel that drink! After "I love rock n'roll" my head started to spin and I felt like I needed a rest. And perfect, the song "I don't wanna miss a thing" by Aerosmith began and we swung slowly from side to side while Alex was whispering the lyrics into my year. I could feel his toned body through my fine dress and through his unbuttoned shirt. Oh, and it felt so good!

"Wanna go?" he asked me softly after the song ended.

"Yeah..." I mumbled.

"Ok then"

He said goodbye to his bandmates and to Miles, who was very busy with some sexy blonde girl he just met. He winked at me and I prayed to God that Alex didn't see that!

We left the weird place and started to walk. We caught a cab and after we got inside, Alex asked me:

"What are we doing next?"

"I don't know... Choose something!"

"Oh, it's your birthday, darlin', your choice!"

I checked the clock. 4:13 AM

"Actually it's not my birthday anymore... I don't know... maybe we could just go to sleep now because it's morning already"

"It seems like I lost the track of time inside. How late is it?"

"4 AM"

I started to giggle.

"What's so funny?" he asked me.

"Nothing, it's just, you know AM, Arctic Monkeys... A and M, get it? And there's also the thing with AM and FM, and Am, the A minor chord... Anyway, I feel kinda drunk so I might say stupid things..."

"Oh, I didn't realise that until now! Sounds like a good title for the new album! I'll keep that in mind!"

He gave the taxi driver my address. Our address actually. Oh, gosh, I was so tired! But I didn't regret anything from what had happened today. Everything was just so perfect! And Alex...
