"You MUST record an album, girls!" Alex exclaimed after we finished playing a song.
It was Wednesday - the day dedicated completely to rehearsals. It was very tiring for me to sing and play guitar for hours, but I soon got used to that. Apart from having to remember the lyrics and chords for the sixteen songs we'd composed together, I had to stand Alex's remarks and comments, as he insisted on seeing us playing.
"It's the fifth time you say that, Al! We got it, ok?" I was getting angry and went to drink some water.
"I really mean it, girls! And you know what, screw you, mardy bum! I'm calling Josh and fix a meeting in the studio! He'll produce your album, girls!" Alex said, visibly upset, almost shouting at me.
"You mean Josha Homme?" Evelyn asked with fear and excitement.
"Yeah! He'll love you! And you've got the coolest name out there, don't you?!"
"Omg! I can't believe that! Marie, is Alex being serious?" Elyse wanted to be sure.
"I don't know... But are you sure we're ready for that, girls?" I was wondering.
"Oh, c'mon! We should really make that freakin' album! Fans already know our songs and they like them, we should offer them a chance to buy our music!" Karina suggested.
"I don't know... If that's what you think..." I gave up.

"Thank you for having us, Baltimore! You're so fucking amazin'!!! We're The Equatorial Penguins and now it's time for our good friends The Fuckin' Arctic Monkeys!!!!" I shouted in the microphone and everyone went crazy.
We left the stage and Alex hugged me as he saw me.
"Don't, don't, I'm sweaty!" I pulled him back, trying not to touch his perfect suit with my wet skin.
Alex decided to ignore me.
"You were perfect! And I love you so much!" he articulated each word.
"You should really go now, Al! Show 'em what you got!"
I hugged and wished luck to the other band members as they were passing the corridor. I could hear the excitement of the crowd, the screams, the whistles.
I got into the dressing room with my bandmates and getting my clothes off was the best feeling I could get after one hour of playing in a hot and stuffy room, at 36 degrees.
We were still in the post-concert shock. None of us was saying a word. I couldn't believe the concert had ended, I could still hear the noise in my ears, my heart was pounding extremely fast and my hands were now shaking. I went to take a shower. The cold water was touching my fiery skin and I closed my eyes.
I was a rockstar, dammit! And my boyfriend was a rockstar! And all our friends were rockstars! The idea was still sending shivers down my spine.

"No, no thanks!" Alex refused Jamie, who was trying to pour him another glass of whiskey.
"Abstinence is the key, my dear brother!" Jamie said in an intellectual deep voice.
"Fuck off, Cookie!"
I knew Alex would never quit drinking. And I didn't want him to do that. I loved drinking myself and I couldn't blame him. I'd never told him anything about his habit, but he decided himself to cut down the daily amount. And I appreciated that. Still, the parties were crazy!
Alex lit my cigarette and then him, and we went together on the verandah of our rented house - we preferred renting houses instead of expensive hotel rooms, and this way we could stay and party together, my band and Alex's.
Alex kissed my forehead and puffed a smoke in my hair. I savoured the delicious aroma of nicotine and Alex's perfume, which was making me go crazy. I bit down on my lip, wishing he'd just kiss me.
"My little rockstar..." Alex whispered in my ear while stroking a piece of fallen hair away from my face.
I was melting inside at his touch and he decided to torture me even more with a gentle kiss.
"I'm so in love with you, Al..."
"Tell me something I don't... already know... Like how you got your kisses to fill me with electricity..." he sang softly.
I giggled. He was the best. And he knew it.
