"I'm sorry for yesterday, darlin'"

Alex was apologizing while we were drinking our coffees at Starbucks at lunch. I simply love Starbucks! And all I needed at that late morning hour was a strong dark coffee.

I was wearing the white Arctic Monkeys almost transparent top which I received for my birthday last year and a pair of shorts. Which were very short. And converses. My black and white checked converses. Alex had his jeans jacket, which made him look badass.

"It's ok, Alex. Seriously."

I put my sunglasses back on, hiding my tired eyes.

"Shall we?"

I held his hand and we started walking down the street. Alex took his guitar case and we stopped in the park. We laid on the green grass and Alex got out his beautiful Martin guitar. I've always wanted an acoustic Martin. It was so sexy...

He coughed once and played a Cm chord. What? Cm, Fm, Gm. I didn't know the song...

"I wanna be your vacuum cleaner

Breathing in your dust

I wanna be your Ford Cortina

I'll never rust..."

Ooohhh...

"The secrets I have held in my heart

Are harder to hide that I thought

Maybe I just wanna be yours

I wanna be yours..."

The beautiful poem turned all of a sudden into a perfect song.

"I wanna be yours..."

His voice... Everything was so perfect at him.

A tear slid from under my glasses. After he finished, I hugged him as hard as I could and I placed my nose in his neck. I felt his delicious scent, his tasty aroma. No words. Just our heartbeats and some kids screaming in the background.

"I hope you've forgiven me" he said lifting his glasses and doing me the same.

"Alex..."

"Shhh..." he put his finger on my lips.

He was looking at me in the sweetest way possible and I saw his face getting closer and closer too mine. He kissed me. Softly and fearful.

"Marie" he whispered and raised his head, aiming for my eyes. "I love you!"

I stiffened. He said it. In such a beautiful and soft way. He said he loved me.

"I love you, Alex!"

We laid on the fragrant grass and looked straightly at each other while holding our hands. No moves, no words. A raindrop touched my nose. It was a pleasant feeling, that cold little drop on my hot skin. And another one, on my blushed cheek, and on my arm, on my ankle and on my overkissed neck.

Some kids started to run to their parents, people were leaving. The rain started. Badly. My hair got wet and I could feel my clothes soaking. My almost transparent top was now actually very very transparent, showing up my flower pattern bra. But I wasn't going to move, I wanted to remain stone-still like that for the rest of my life. Next to him. My love.

There were no other people left in the park. Just me and Alex. Just us. Two "lovebirds", how Matt described us yesterday. It was pouring. My hair started to stick on my shoulders and Alex's quiff fell all over his face. We were crazy, we were insane. We were... perfect for each other.

All of a sudden, a little boy running while carrying his little white Bichon Frise stopped on the alley.

"Are you dead?" he asked scared.

We didn't say a word. Maybe we were. Such a perfect death.

"Mom! Mom!!!!" he started to shout while running towards his mother. "Mom, there are two people who don't move! I think they're dead, mom!"

"Oh, they can't be..." the woman replied his little boy with a soft patient voice. She came next to us and watched us smiling.

"What's going on, mom?" the boy became more and more curious. "What's wrong with them?! They're dead, right?"

"No, sweetie..."

"But?"

"They're just in love..."

And they left. I could still hear the boy claiming proudly: "Then I WILL NEVER FALL IN LOVE! EVER!"

I used to say that too...

==========================

I know this is very very cheesy. I kinda ran out of ideas...

Maybe you could give me some help???? Should I continue???
