Chapter 24 - The time has come again

"Europe, here we cooooome!!!!" Nick shouted as the plane took off.

I felt a lump in my throat. I'd always hated the took off's and the landings!

"Did you miss London?" Alex asked as I was looking dreamily through the window. "Daydreaming, love?"

"What? Oh, no, I wasn't paying attention... Sorry... What did you say?"

"Obviously you do! The time has come again..."

"Time for what?"

"To return to your dearest London..."

"Yeah... I... I forgot how my life was before meeting you... I just... What was I doing all day long?"

"Maybe studying... Going out to wild parties!"

"Definitely not! I don't remember ever enjoying a party..."

"Before meeting me!" Alex cut my sentence proudly.

"Something like that..."

"And I don't remember ever enjoying a party without getting drunk as a skunk! Before meeting you..."

"Skunk... I'm trying to imagine that! The Arctic Skunks!"

"What did you say, sweetie?!" Jamie turned around to our seats.

"Don't you ever "sweetie" me again, you dork!"

"Oah, oah, oah!!! Back down!" Miles laughed.

"What's going on, guys?" Elyse asked, just woken up from her sleep in Nick's hairy arms by our noises.

"Oh, nothing, just our little sexy pissed off noisy girl!" Jamie explained.

"Thanks, Jameh, I couldn't 've said it better!" I was being sarcastic.

"And sarcastic! I forgot to add that, sorry!"

I stuck my tongue out.

"Twelve hours left. Yeyyyy!!!" Matt was keeping track.

"Only..." I commented quietly.

"I don't understand you! I love flying! And it's my first time to travel to Europe!!!" Karina was excited.

"You'll understand soon, my little penguin..." Matt was trying to get closer to her.

I decided to give them a little privacy and nuzzled my face in Alex's chest, breathing in his delicious scent.

I'd always hated flying! But, as rockstars, we had to get used to it.

"Hey, Elyse! You and Nick...?" Jamie asked silently.

"Fuck off, Cookie! It's not your business!" Laura took a protective stand.

Everyone loved saying that to Jamie.

"Forever alone Jamie!" Evelyn laughed.

"No, I'm just waiting for my princess!"

"Actually, the prince should look for his princess, as far as I can remember..." Karina was mocking him.

We loved teasing each other.

"This flight is killing me!" Matt complained all of a sudden.

"You tell me?! I hate flying!" I said a little too loudly, still cuddled into Alex.

"Oh, darlin'..." Alex stopped being that quiet. "Maybe there's a way I can make you happier..."

"I don't think so... But I'm happy already! I'm here with the people I love!"

"Well... I'll give it a try!"

Alex got out of his jacket pocket an envelope.

"Are you giving me monkey now?" I laughed. You should know by now that I can't be bought..."

"I know, know it... But it's not exactly what you think..."

I opened the yellowish envelope.

"You fucking nuts!!!!" I yelled loud enough for everyone around us to turn their heads. "Paris?!"

"Ever been there?"

"A couple of times with my parents..."

"So I didn't surprise you as much as I wanted"

"You crazy?! I've never been there with you!"

"It's gonna be marvellous!!!!"

Alex took my hands in his and kissed them tenderly.

"So... Just you and me, right?" I asked, afraid that the others could join us.

"Just you and me, my love!"

"What happened, Romeo?" Matt asked Alex.

"You're just jealous, bro!"

"Jealous of?"

"Of the fact that I'll spend some extraordinary days, and nights as a matter of fact, with my lovely girlfriend in Paris!"

"Oh, c'mon! You won't give her the chance to see the city, you bastard! You'll keep her in the bed all day and night! I know you! I can come there too to save you, Marie!" Matt offered himself.

"I'll consider your offer, Matt! But I think I am going to enjoy my staying there anyways..." I tried to be politely.

"I am always available, dear!"

Alex embraced me and we fell asleep together.
