Dark's ears were ringing and every sound seemed faint.  Forcing his stiff joints to push him up onto his feet, he touched one of his ears.  Staggering upright, he pulled his fingers back to reveal blood.  Dark watched Anti continue to approach him and tried to think fast.  He could still rely on his strength... but Anti was a distance fighter.  Anti confirmed this by stopping a few feet away and extending his arms out wide.  Dark's heart dropped into the pit of his stomach from the agonizing realization.  Anti was going to try another concussion blast, but this one was going to be much stronger!  Dark didn't know if he could escape it in time, but he couldn't risk getting hit like that again.  Holding his ground for as long as he could, he waited until Anti was already following through with the clap, before quickly dashing to the left.  Dark faintly heard the loud thunderous clap, just seconds before being knocked clear through the air!  He had managed to just barely make it to the edge of Anti's blast radius though.  So, this concussion blast only managed to knock him the rest of the way out.  The landing wasn't any better.

Dark hit the ground chest first and half coughed/spit blood from his mouth.  He could only imagine what these blasts would do to a normal human.  Quickly staggering up on all fours, Dark forced himself to start running around Anti.  If Anti had to keep turning then he had a less chance of him hitting him.  Anti watched the tall thick trees snap in half and fly off as his concussion blasted them apart, leaving only a trail of splintered wreckage.  Dark had dashed into his blind spot and he had to turn to see if he had gotten him with his good eye.  He hadn't.  Dark had managed to just miss it from the looks.  Dark kept running into Anti's blind spot, until Anti couldn't take it anymore.  Anti whirled around the other way, just in time to see Dark run into the vision of his good eye.  Flicking out his arm, Anti aimed for a spot just ahead of Dark and snapped his fingers.  The snap sent a large bolt of green lightening out and Dark was about to run right into it!  However, Dark saw the flash of green out of the corner of his eye and fell back across the ground in the hopes to stop himself in time.

The green bolt of lightening barely missed Dark, scorched the once green grass into a blazing circle of ash!  Dark scanned around for anything he could possibly use to defend himself... but there was nothing.  He hated daylight.  Panting heavily, Dark climbed confidently to his feet, calling out to Anti shortly.  "Alright, Anti! Enough of this! We should be focusing our energy on everyone else! Not wasting it on each other"!  Dark straightened himself up, watching Anti slowly lower his hand.  Finally, he was getting through to him.  Dark took a deep breath and tried to use his commanding influence on Anti as he told him.  "Now you're going to heal me, and then we'll get straight to business".  Anti just stared at him with that same stone cold expression.  He couldn't tell if his commanding influence had worked or not.  Sure, Anti said he didn't effect him anymore... but it should as long as he was listening to him.  Dark took a step closer toward Anti a bit hesitant.  Anti appeared to be frozen to the spot.  He didn't even blink.  The closer Dark got the more he started to hear a weird buzzing noise and stopped.  The moment it dawned on Dark it was too late.

Anti kept his eye on Dark as he approached casually.  Even after telling Dark that his commanding influence was no use, he still tried it.  The thing Anti had learned about Dark's voice... it drew in energy to work.  Whether Dark was aware of that or not remained unseen.  So, when Anti saw Dark take a deep breath, he took notice of the tiny energy collecting around Dark's throat.  Immediately, Anti reacted by emanating electrical waves throughout his body.  Allowing his body to hum softly like powerful power lines.  Blocking out any trace of Dark's voice.  Anti forced himself to wait as Dark drew closer.  Loring him into a false sense of security.  Then the moment Dark's eyes widened with sudden realization,  Anti raised his fist and charged it up to it's highest intensity!  He was going to fry Dark with every spark of energy he had!  Thrusting his fist out toward Dark's chest, a thick green mass of electrical energy shot out from Anti's fist and across the remaining distance to Dark's chest!

Dark had no time to react.  Anti was too fast!  The green energy plunged into Dark's chest, knocking all the air from his lungs!  It wasn't the physically blow that hurt... it was what it did inside him that did.  Dark's whole body locked up painfully tight as the massive electrical current coursed through his entire being.  He could feel his insides frying and felt his blood pour out from his mouth, eyes, and ears!  This shock made Anti's previous ones feel like mere child's play.  He could smell his own flesh burning and his clothes deteriorating from the heat.  The energy suddenly faded in an instant, and Dark groggily watched Anti fall down to one knee.  Anti didn't look so good... Dark's vison faded in and out.  Then he began seeing two of Anti... Was Anti dying?  Was it possible he had used too much of his own energy?

Dark felt his body pulse and groaned out loudly in pain.  Dark didn't feel right... He felt like his body was holding way too much pressure.  His hands started to shake uncontrollably and he felt like if he didn't relieve himself of this pressure soon it was going to destroy him.  Trying to focus on his shaking hands... that he seemed to have four of now... he watched as green sparks danced over his skin.  The longer he stared though, the more the sparks appeared to change color until his body was sparking in purplish black.  Dark's vision blurred and then became razor clear as he body pulse violently again!  Anti fell back across the ground limply, and Dark extended a hand toward him weakly.  He wanted to help Anti... but he couldn't move.  That's when Dark noticed his hand charging like Anti's had.  Only instead of a green energy, his was purplish black.  Dark raised his palm to Anti's body and the dark energy blasted out of him!  Dark could feel the pressure relieving inside himself the longer he kept focusing this new energy on Anti.  Fisting his hand, the energy stopped and Dark stared curiously at his hand.

A curious thought crossed into Dark's mind as he looked over at Anti's sparking body.  If Anti had been right earlier about him absorbing his energy... did that mean that his body acted like that of dark matter?  Could he take in Anti's energy and convert it into his own power?  To Be Continued...
