  I was on the verge of tears, from the pain or the fear I didn't know but I just nodded hastily in hopes he would believe me "Good girl" he released my arm, leaving a bruise and went back to his charade as he placed an arm around my shoulders and walked me back to the bed "Okay guys, seriously, what happened?" Evan grew stern and the room was silent, when they saw Delirious and I approach they looked at us expectantly and I heard Delirious sigh "When we were in the forest you and my girlfriend ran away off to escape from me while I was the murderer and you were attacked by some psychopath who had... done that to you and was about to hurt her before I scared him off, remember?" Evan looked at us shocked, it was a lot to take in.

"How come I don't remember any of this?" his voice was high and shaky "They concussion was pretty severe, we thought you were dead" he looked like he was just stabbed "Are you okay?" he muttered before looking me in the eyes "Were you hurt?" I didn't know how to respond, after all of this he's asking if I'm okay when he's the one stuck in a hospital bed "Y-yeah" I avoided his gaze, hurt that I had to lie to him when I wanted to scream out the truth, he was about to inquire further until the door opened and Brian stepped in followed by the two cops.

"Now mister Johnathan..." Delirious cut him off as he removed his arm "Yeah, let's get this over with" the cop looked displeased with his response but still left with him and the room was silent once more, Luke placed a reassuring hand on my back and the others distracted themselves by turning the TV and console, when they all looked away I turned and gave him a well needed hug "Whoa, your shaking!" he held me closer and I heard Evan from behind me "I'm missing something big aren't I?"

I turned to look at him and approached the bed, Evans head was wrapped up still but what I could see was badly bruised yet I could still recognize the man I fell in love with, at looked at Luke and he gave me a reassuring smile before turning back to see a worried Evan, I took a deep, shaky breath "I...uh, there was a reason we were together, away from the group, in that forest" I rubbed the back of my neck as I tried to come up with the right words to say "What are you talking about?" he grew more curious but I stayed silent until the three right words came to my head "Evan, I..." the door burst open to reveal a very agitated Delirious, to say the least.

He came over to see me talking to Evan with Luke standing beside me and he looked like he was about to snap "What did I miss?" he stared me down and I was almost catatonic "Excuse me, miss it's your turn" I looked to the officer and mentally cried with relief "Right, okay" I quickly sped past Delirious and out the room, I walked with the two cops into a small room and they shut the door behind me, I froze as I realized that I hadn't decided whether or not to tell the truth to them and deal with Delirious' wrath or lie to keep Evan safe possibly at the cost of my innocence and sanity in order to keep up the charade.

*Luke's POV*

I watched as John angrily stared after her as she ran out of the room, leaving a very confused Evan "What's going on, what was she about to say?" John returned his attention to the bedridden man beside us "Nothing Evan, don't worry about it" he tried to be calm "Luke, tell me what's happening!" they both looked at me and I could feel Johns threatening glare "It's not my place to say" I left Evan in the dark "I need some air" John sighed and left the room.

I turned to Evan with a serious tone "You need to tell her the truth" he looked at me puzzled "She loves you dude, not him" his eyes grew and his mind raced with questions "Wait, so why are they so..." I cut him off "Because of what he did..." I stopped knowing I was going to say too much and Evan seemed to understand "We need to get you two alone together" he nodded in response and we went back to the TV.
