She takes my hand,

"What's your name?"

"Lila,"

"How old are you?"

"13," The same age as me,

"I'm Samantha," she nods. I let the awkward silence between us rest. What would Kara do?

"We need to get you to the medical wing. To see if you're okay," I look around at all the tense soldiers, that might be a problem.

"Uh, clear! Everything's good!" They don't move, "Please! I need to get this girl to the medical wing!" I grab onto Lila's arm and start to walk up to the wall of soldiers. I try to push through,

"Please move," I say, trying to hide my frustration, I want to scream CAN'T YOU SEE SHE'S HURT?! HAVE A HEART FOR ONCE! but I don't, there just doing their jobs.

"Let the girls through!" I hear a deep shout echo throughout the room, Hank. They instantly make a path for us. I shutter as all their eyes stare at me, ready to fire if given the command. Once, were out in the open I look back at Lila, her eyes are darting around the room, scared. Kara rushes us to us.

"Good job Sam," she say's squeezing my shoulder, I let go of Lila's hand which instantly falls to her side.

"Medical wing is this way," I say starting to walk, she follows me. We enter room #1 and she is surrounded by nurses. One of them steps away from Lila and turns to me,

"You need to leave sweetheart,"

"Okay," I mumble, stepping outside, I wait outside, looking into the glass. The nurses talk to Lila, pointing to her uneven hair. One side is rib length and the other is neck length. They offer something up and she nods. They take out an object and it starts to buzz, leaving the razor tipped side moving, they shave the short hair part of her head, she looks in a mirror and smirks. Loving her new appearance. Soon, Kara comes up behind me,

"Time to go home, she'll be more than safe here," I nod and turn away reluctantly. Still wondering about this so-called Jokers little sister. Why National City? Out of all places. I see Barry and Anna holding hands,

"Barry, you coming home with us or staying here?"

"Staying, Anna still has some tests left,"

"Okay see you tomorrow,"

"Okay, goodnight," He says addressing both me and Kara,

We walk out of the DEO, and take off, I see the city come into view, a red dot coats the sky, pointed at me and suddenly I'm falling towards the ground, feeling useless and flightless. Like a bird who has lost her wings.
