The Flame

I see the drone circle around us when the dust clears entirely.  Barry is suddenly at my side,

"You can't be out here Samantha.  It's too dangerous,"  He says, urgency filling his voice.  I see Lila standing in the distance.  I stand up and walk towards her.

"Barry take Anna back to the DEO."

"No, I have..."

"Now," He shakes his head and both he and Anna disappear,

"What have you done Lila," I feel the anger consume me. "How could you do this!  We trusted you, we took you into the DEO!  I don't understand!"  Now I a practically screaming.  Tears streaming down my face.  My hands clenched into fists. "You're playing the role of a coward.  And the kryptonite, what is that being used for?"  I push myself into the air, "Is it just another trinket of yours?"

"I need it, and you can't stop me.  Go back now," 

"Hand it over,"  Suddenly, her fire is shooting at me.  I use my ice breath to counter it.  We stay there, fire against ice.  I stop and take a gasp of air.  A fireball shoots at me and I  dodge, it hits my hand and I brush it off, ignoring the pain of the burn.  I lower myself to the ground,

"I didn't mean to hurt Anna," she says,

"But you did," I take a step forwards, leaving indents of where my feet have been.  The fire suddenly consumes her body and her whole entire body is ignited with fire.  

"See what I can do?"  I zoom up and fly down directly at her, pushing her into the ground as hard as I can.  Her fire burns my hands.  I grit my teeth as I try not to scream.  I rise up,

"Is that all?" She wearily stands up and with all her might she has left.  She grabs the kryptonite and lights it on fire.  She throws it at me.   It skims my side and I fall to the ground.  I groan as I hit the ground and feel my suit soak through with blood.

"Stay down," She warns, she comes close and peers down at my face.  I notice her eyes are ringed with silver.

"Lila, do you remember the first time we met?  How I offered you my hand?"

"None of that matters now,"  she says.  I take my hand and place it on her cheek, 

"Is this really you Lila?  Or is it your brother?"  I whisper "cause I thought I had finally met someone my age, who understood."  She stumbles away, her hands clench into fists.  She screams.  Suddenly she relaxes and falls to her hands.  She starts sobbing,

"Lila?" I ask, feeling my conciseness start to fade,

"Sam!" She scrambles towards me, she takes my head and places it on her lap, "I'm so sorry Sam, he controlled me.  I tried to fight," She rambles on,

"It's okay," I say, staring up into her eyes.  The world starts to blur and I close my eyes, ready to rest.  

"Sam, stay with me," I here Lila's voice echo through my head.  I peek my eyes open, they feel heavy.  I feel my body start to go numb.  

"Hey!  Sam!  Stay here!"  Her muffled voice says before I hear her scream for help.  I see a blurry black object speeding towards us,  it screeches to a stop and people run out.  I look up and see a figure shooting towards us they land on one knee. 

"Sam!  Kara's blurry lips move in front of me.  A flash and then a red blob is there too.  

"Hey Kiddo, stay with us okay."  Something touches my side and I wince.  Everything keeps getting blurrier until I can only see colors.  And then everything goes black...
