Rose woke up the next morning beside Scorpius. She was happy he was back home. She got up and went to make some coffee.
While she was fixing her coffee, Scorpius came slouching down the stairs.
"Morning," Scorpius said, coming up behind Rose and squeezing her waist.
"Good morning. Listen," Rose said seriously.
"Okay..." Scorpius said slowly.
"We need to start doing some wedding planning. It's been a while since you proposed and I think the family is getting anxious for the wedding to happen," Rose said.
Scorpius nodded.
"Okay. First order of business. Where?" Scorpius said as Rose sat down beside him at the table.
She say sideways in her chair so she could rest her head on Scorpius's shoulder.
"Um, the Burrow? Or Malfoy Manor?" Rose suggested.
Scorpius thought about it.
"Both are good suggestions, but I was thinking we could do something different. What about in Hogsmeade?" Scorpius said, twirling Rose's hair in between his fingers.
"Ooh! Yeah! We could do it in the little field over the fence at the end of the path, just past the Hog's Head," Rose said excitedly.
"Perfect. That's settled then. What time?" Scorpius asked as he wrote the location on a piece of parchment.
"I'm thinking 2:00," Rose said.
Scorpius nodded and recorded her answer.
"Day?" Scorpius asked.
"Um...February 4th? That's about a month away. That's not too far away for the family, but it should still give us enough time to get everything done before," Rose said.
Scorpius smiled and kissed Rose's forehead.
"Love it. What colors should we do for the theme?" Scorpius asked.
"I like pastel pink and pastel blue," Rose said, thinking of her mother.
Those were both her's and her mother's favorite colors.
"Sounds wonderful. Where would we do the reception?" Scorpius asked.
"We could do it in the field as well. We could have my grandfather and grandmother bring the marquee," Rose suggested.
"Okay. I think everything's settled then," Scorpius said.
Rose gave a sigh of relief.
"I'm glad that's over," Rose said with a smile.
She stood up and went to go change into some nicer clothes. She wanted to go wedding shopping today.
Scorpius came in after her and changed in the bedroom with her. Rose had grabbed a pair of faded jeans, a Gryffindor t-shirt, and Scorpius's Scorose Quidditch jumper she had bought him a while back to wear that day. She slipped the jumper over her head while Scorpius had his back turned to her. When he turned back around, he smirked at her.
"Why didn't you just keep it for yourself then, if you like it so much?" Scorpius joked.
Rose rolled her eyes and went to brush her hair and her teeth. After that, she put on some light eyeshadow and mascara and some light pink lip gloss and headed downstairs to put on her shoes.
Scorpius came down a few minutes later and slipped on his own shoes. They grasped hands and walked out the door together. Once outside, they Apparated into Diagon Alley.
First, they went to a wedding décor shop to buy pastel pink and pastel blue decorations.
"Oh, look, Scor! These napkins are pink and blue!" Rose exclaimed inside the shop.
Scorpius walked over to where Rose stood.
"Don't you think that's a little much, Rosie?" Scorpius asked her slowly.
"No! They're beautiful!" Rose squealed.
"Okay, get them then. Now let's find some plates and utensils," Scorpius said, taking Rose's hand and leading her over to a case full of fancy plates, forks, spoons, and knifes.
They picked out silver plates and utensils. They bought pink and blue streamers before going across to the flower shop to order flowers for centerpieces.
They agreed to order pink roses for half of the tables and blue flowers for the other half.
They Apparated home with their things. They put their décor in the guest room of their flat so it wouldn't be bothered.
Then, they went downstairs to the living room to make invitations to the wedding.
"What should they say?" Scorpius asked, coming into the room with a stack of plain pink cards.
"I was thinking on the front we could put You're Invited and then on the inside we could put for whom the wedding is for, where it'll be, and what time," Rose said.
Scorpius nodded.
They both took out their wands and placed a piece of paper in front of them on the coffee table.
"Ready?" Rose asked.
"Always," Scorpius smiled.
They waved their wands at the same time and blue words appeared on the pink card.
They did the same to all the rest of the cards in their stacks. When they finished, they sent out the cards to each person.
As they waited for their owl to return so they could send the next invitation, they sat on the couch together. Rose sat with her head on Scorpius's shoulder. Their hands were intertwined in between the two of them.
"I love you," Rose said softly.
Scorpius smiled to himself.
"I love you too," Scorpius replied.
