Ted's POV

How on earth didnt i see that coming? Robin looked ready to faint on stage but something held her back. She was a true McCurdy and Richardson.

"Lorna?" My father asked but my niece just shook her head.

"I'm sorry but I'm Robin Andrea" He nodded and placed her medal on her neck. He couldn't stop staring at her when she walked away. I knew he would investigate into her life. My dad had all the resources he needed at his disposal.

"Frederick, have you seen Stan? I think I'd like to go home" Robin was still trying to be strong. I wonder how she would feel if she knew I had a tracker in her necklace. If she was anything like her mother, she would dislike me for awhile.
She is worse than Lorna. My inner voice seemed to say. I just chuckled. My dad was talking to his business friends and since he hadn't seen me yet, I decided to go and pry out a little information from him.

"Hi, dad" His stern face burst into smiles when he saw me and he engulfed me into a bear hug. He had always liked me because I was his only son. If only he knew I was still in touch with Lorna, he'd have me cut off from his life.

"My son, it's good to see you."

"Same here dad. Why didn't you tell me you were coming to San Francisco? I would have had Flora prepare a bedroom for you" I hoped he didn't suspect anything yet.

"I forgot you were here. Your last postcard said you were going to the Big Apple". He drank a little champagne.

" I sent you and mum another one which said I'd settle in San Francisco for awhile because business is better than New York"

"Our new maid must have placed it somewhere but it's so good to see you. I wonder what Arabella will say when I tell her I saw you"

"You know mum would be jealous. Why didn't she come?"

"She had a doctor's appointment she couldn't rebook."

"I saw you give that girl her medal. She must be really smart for her to have been the overall best student"

"Yes, from what I heard she Is smart. Her test scores just set a new record nationwide" I nodded as if I was interested in it. I already knew it.
"She looked just like Lorna" I gasped.

"Lorna?"

"Yes but she doesn't seem to have all Lorna's features. Let's drop this. I don't like talking about your sister. Your mother misses her sometimes."

"She didn't even look at Lorna when she brought her child for you to see. Why would she miss her?"

"We regret it. Ted. I just wish we could find her and beg her to forgive us. I don't know how she does it but she's hidden herself so good but investigators can't find her." My face looked grim and I decided not to talk about this. I never forgave my parents for sending Lorna away.

"Maybe one day, you'd see her"

"Maybe, Ted. Maybe."

Frederick's POV

I was happy for Robin and a little bit jealous. She was really smart and she hid it so well from us. It hurt a little bit but I knew she did it to make us feel better not because she wanted to prove something to the world.

"I can't believe someone from our school set a new nationwide record!" Mary gushed and I smiled in her direction. She had won a silver medal and two bronze medals so I doubted she was bitter.
