Robin's POV

I was running so hard. The ground had patches of water showing it had rained. I saw peonies and sunflowers in fields all around me but I couldn't concentrate in their beauty. I was driven by one need. Run.
Who was chasing me? The question kept plaguing me. It started raining. Cyclonic rainfall. My brain answered. My legs were already cramping. I needed to stop and rest.
No! Keep running. Don't ever stop! Something seemed to be saying in my head. I was out of breath and I stopped.

"Robin" I jumped when I heard a voice in this place I didn't know. I turned and saw Eli. I burst into  grin. A friend!.

"Eli. I'm so glad to see you. I was so scared" I wanted to close our small distance and hug him but something kept me rooted to my spot. He's dangerous. Run, Robin. Leave. My warning bells screamed but I wasn't believing them. Eli smiled but his smile seemed cold, I felt shivers and not in a good way.

"Well, I'm glad I caught up with you, Robin. I needed to see you"

"Really? Why?" I was getting scared now. His voice had a touch of venom laced to it. I moved a step backwards and he snickered as if reading my mind.

"You're not leaving Robin. I won't let you leave me" I ordered my legs to run but they were stuck in some mud. They felt heavy. I watched in fear as Eli marched towards me. I was able to get out before he came to me but I was still slow. I stumbled on a tree root and fell. Eli came to me and I saw a Glock in his hands.

"No!!" He pulled the trigger.
I shot out of bed with my heart beating so fast and my body drenched in sweat. It was a dream. Oh, I'm so glad it was a dream.
Could Eli really pull a trigger on me? The thought disturbed me too much. It was five thirty. I got up to shower.
Stan and my uncle were talking when I bounded downstairs with my backpack.

"There's my little niece" I smiled and sat down. Flora placed a bowl of cereal before me and a carton of milk.

"I'm not little uncle. I'm a young adult" I said pridefully, knowing we were just messing around.

"Well, you're still little, Robin Andrea."

"Are you excited about your first Decathlon here in San Francisco?" Flora asked, pulling a chair near me.

"I'm scared too. I don't wanna embarrass Ophiuchus high too"

"There's nothing wrong with being nervous Robin. It makes you human. Just keep your eyes on the prize" Stan really had a way with words. I smiled at him and he beamed back at me. He drove me to school. I wore Eli's bracelet. I didnt know why but I felt it would bring me a little bit of luck. Freddie smiled warmly at me and blew me a kiss which caused me to smile.
I was scared but I was excited. I just wished my family was here to see me. They had come to all my contests back at River Hill so this wouldn't be anything new.
The school team had gone to the Hyatt Regency Sacramento for the arena testing. I would have been really overwhelmed if Freddie hadn't been there  me.
I looked at my team members. We were nine in total as required.
We were just waiting in the school's auditorium before we marched off to the bus.
