"You are a fool, brother," Azazel said sternly. "I understand your reasons for retrieving Danny and Angel by yourself..."
"Yeah, you would have given Angel's mom a heart attack and Jill would have had nightmares the rest of her life!" Danny said with a smirk.
The Watcher rolled his eyes. "Khan, you are an...um, asshole. Wait until I get my wings, and then we'll see who's prettier."
Carter laughed. "We're rubbing off on you, Watcher. You didn't threaten to kill him for insulting you. This is becoming a habit."
"Must be the Yoga," the trucker said with a chuckle and then sat down on a lawn chair in the corner of the abandoned hotel room.
"Regardless," Azazel said, returning his focus to Michael. "What would possess you to leave and face off with the Grigori like that, brother? Why would you risk yourself for this...this...orb?" the Fallen angel asked, pointing a claw at the disoriented Louisa floating all alone in the corner opposite Danny.
The spirit said nothing.
"She is an Original Soul," Michael replied, lying back with a grimace on the squeaky metal bed.
Angel, Carter, and Danny turned their heads toward the recently deceased woman's direction. "Huh?"
"Yes, a voice told me where to find her."
Azazel squinted. "Is this the first time you have heard this...voice?"
"No. The first time it told me where to find Carter," Michael answered. "Listen brother, I am exhausted; let me rest for a little while and when I wake, I will tell you more."
Azazel patted Michael's arm. "Yes, rest brother, rest."
"What's your name?" Angel asked softly, approaching the sparkling ball of energy from across the room.
"Louisa Jiminez. Officer Louisa Jiminez of the Dallas PD."
Carter smiled. "Whelp, looks as if I'm not the only former law enforcement officer on the team anymore. Are you any good with a rifle? I got an extra one that needs a new owner."
Danny sniffed and stretched his legs out in front of him, his arms crossed. "A bit early for that, don't ya' think, Badass?"
"Ya'll! Come on, Louisa here is prolly freakin' out!" Angel said sharply. "I imagine she's more shook up than we were..."
"Are you from Mississippi?" the orb asked.
"Yes ma'am, how'd you know?" Angel replied.
"Ma'am...?" the orb shimmered. "I have relatives over that way. Recognized the accent."
"Ah, I see. Well, Louisa, there's a lot to explain and it's all going to sound real outlandish," the former cheerleader said. "By the way, my name's Angel."
"Really?"
"Um...yeah?"
"Were you a stipper?"
"Oh gawd, no! I was a cheerleader," Angel shot back.
"I'm sorry, cariño. But, the way you look..."
Angel would have blushed had there been blood pumping through her veins. "Yeah, I, uh, didn't have a whole lot to choose from in the morgue..."
"Stuff it sister," Danny said sitting upright. "I know why you picked it!"
"Shut up, Danny, before I pull out my sword and beat your ass!" Angel said, angrily. "And it's not funny, we don't know if Dustyn..." the girl slammed her lips together and turned away from the trucker.
