"Dammit! Why can't we teleport, guys?" Angel asked nervously as the six supernatural beings all stood with their backs to the edge of the cliff surrounded by Grigori thugs."It is one of the witch's spells," Azazel replied.
Gadreel nodded. "It's like a roach motel for Watchers. You can get in, but..."
"You can't get out!" Carter said. "I remember that commercial!"
Gadreel grinned and then let it fade as the Grigori encircling them charged. "Here we go!"
"Game on!" Carter yelled, his gun belt forming around his waist. He quickly extracted his two pistols, but not before Louisa popped three Grigori with her own weapon. "Son of a bitch! I think I'm in love!"
Louisa smiled, dropped to a knee, and dispatched two more golden creatures approaching on their right. She then rolled, fired, and destroyed two more.
Angel jumped from the ground, ricocheted off of the side of a boulder, and flipped over the heads of six Grigori, weapon in hand. The white-hot Sword of Heaven's glowing blade sliced through them like they were nothing. The Gregoria's exploded as Angel landed opposite of Louisa.
"Shit that was cool!" the former police officer exclaimed, cocking her rifle. She smiled up at Angel, however the expression was only temporary. "Watch out!"
Angel observed Louisa dispatch one Grigori after the next as the next group of golden thugs arrived. She nodded at Louisa. "Ready?"
"Go slice 'em up ninja cheerleader! I got your back!"
Angel produced a grin and then jumped. With a mid-air, half twist, the girl once known as Joan of Arc, cleared the incoming squad of Grigori and landed behind them, sword ready.
The first row of golden attackers stopped, watching Angel soar over them, but by the time they turned around she had leveled the rest of the group at the rear. They were next.
A dozen Grigori surrounded Michael, believing they had him trapped. The Archangel's massive flaming sword glowed to life in his hand and they fearfully began to back away. As they turned to run, they found themselves face to face with two more very large, very angry Watchers. It was over quickly.
When it appeared all of the Grigori were eliminated, the fighters regrouped at the mouth of a cave. Everyone had previously agreed it would make a perfect meetup location just in case they became separated.
"We have to get out of here. Once these asshat's realize their buddies aren't coming back, they are going to send in everything they've got!" Carter said.
"I agree," Michael said. "Brother Azazel, what say you? Any suggestions on where to go? Do you know anything of this place."
Azazel began to speak but was interrupted.
"He doesn't know anything," Gadreel said. "Az wasn't exactly welcome during our family get-togethers. But me? I spent a good bit of time here back in the day and I do know a place we can go, but it is not going to be easy to get to there from here."
"Do we have a choice?" Louisa asked.
Gadreel shook his head. "Not really."
"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's get moving," Carter said.

Bloody Bill watched the motley assortment of supernatural creatures spill out of the cave and into the hot desert sun. Thankfully, he decided to stay back, sending only his Grigori soldiers in to fight. This group was a lot tougher and more frightening than he originally imagined. "It's going to be a battle of wits that takes this group down," he surmised, "...not force. It's nearly time to bring in my new recruit..."
