-Thirty Five-

This is cringey again just so you know,

Emily's POV

I reluctantly got out of bed, and went to the bathroom, with my clothes in my hand and got into the shower. I got out of my pajamas and got in. When I got out, put on my clothes, makeup and did my hair in a simple ponytail .

I go downstairs, eat an apple and walk out the door for school. As I was walking, I hear my phone ring. I pull it out and see the hospital calling. I quickly answer it and put the phone to me ear,

"Hello?" I ask quickly.

"Hello, Emily?" a nurse asks through the phone.

"Yes, I'm Emily, what's going on?" I ask.

"Well, the good news or bad news first?"

"Good.. I guess," I say, shaking.

"Good news is that Jacob is waking up"

"Can I come see him, now?"

"Yes, but what about school, honey."

"I don't care, I'm coming right now." I say quickly before hanging up. I got in my moms car, not caring I only have my permit. I drove to the hospital and ran inside.

"Jacob Sartorius?" I ask the lady at the front desk.

"Room 232" She says. I quickly say thank you and run to the room. I walk in and see his parents already there.

"Is he ok? Did he wake up?"

"no sweetie, not yet." his mom says sadly. "But his heart rate has started to go faster, so that's a good sign."

"Ok."

"Emily?" i hear a nurse say at the door.

"Yes?"

"can you please come out here for a second?" She asks.

"Yea," I say walking to the door. "what's wrong?" I say as my heart racing.

"I've already told his parents, but while he was in the coma, he started talking. Saying your name, and then he stopped, his heart rate went down for a bit and then came back up again." She tells me.

"Oh....ok." I say as I walked towards the room.

"I'm sorry sweetie, you can't come in here, were prepping him for surgery." The nurse blocking the door says sweetly. 

"Ok," I say as I walked back to the waiting room. I hear my phone ding. I take my phone out and see messages from Julie and Sou. 

B- where are u 

S- Where the hell are you i can't get through the day without u lol 

E- srry, the hospital called they said Jacob might've woken up. 

B-Oh ok, well come back NOW 

S- Sorry bout Bella, take your time, but come back soon 

E-they're putting him in surgery soon so I'll come anyways

B- ok see u soon

I shut my phone and walked outside to my moms car. I just drove it to school knowing that my mom won't notice its gone because shes gone. I go into the school and walk to the office telling them I'm here. 

"Hi, my name is Emily Maxwell and I just got here. I know I'm an hour late but my alarm clock wasn't working.  So I woke up like a half hour ago." I tell them. Luckily they kinda like me there.

"Oh its ok sweetie, I'll give you a pass saying you were helping me." She says getting out a notecard. 

"Thanks so much," I say smiling and taking the card. I walk out of the office and walk to the class I'm supposed to be in. I see a sub sitting on the desk on his phone. 

"Hi, I'....." He cuts me off. 

"Yea, yea, give me your note and go sit down." he says sassing. I give him my note.

"Talk to me again like that I dare you." I tell him. He says something, sassing again. "Fine, if thats how you wanna play." I start to fake cry. Bella and Sou run up to me. 

"OMG whats wrong????" Bella asks. 

"H-h-he said that I'm a mean girl with no life and just a regular dumb blonde girl." I say between sniffles. Sou and Bella know I'm lying. 

"Ok, come on lets go to the office." Sou says. We start to walk to the office. I stop crying. 

"Damn Emily, good job, I almost believed it." Bella says laughing. 

"Thank you" I say smiling. We get to the office and I start to fake cry.  

"Oh my god, honey are you ok?" Says the lady that gave me the note this morning. 

"I w-w-was giving the s-s-sub my n-n-note and then h-h-he cut me off and said t-t-that I'm just a mean with no life and a regular dumb blonde." I say still crying. 

"It's going to be ok, you guys can stay here while I call him to come down after class." she says sweetly. We nod our heads and went to sit down. I still cry because she was sitting right across from us. Soon, class finished and we saw the sub walk in. 

He gives me a death stare and I started to cry again. 

"What happened now??" She asks again.

"When h-h-he death stared me when he walked in." I tell her sadly. She takes him into the principles office. Me, Sou, and Bella started laughing until she came back.

"I'm so sorry for that girls. If you want, i can let you out early, you've been through enough for today." She says sweetly. We nod our heads and thank her. We walked out. 

"THANK YOU EMILY" Julie and Sou say as we walked outside. I smile and we get into my moms car. 

"Where to?" I ask them. 

"home, lets binge something." Bella says. We nod our heads and went to my house. We put on a random show on Netflix and watched until my phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, but I answered. 

"Hello?" I ask the other person on the line. "Oh my god, are you serious." I ask as she replied. "I'm coming right now." I say and hang up the phone as quick as I can. 

"What's wrong?" Julie asked.

"Jacob woke up."
