"He's green" Alice said.
"We're to late." The Mad Hatter said, shaking his head.
"Why is he acting like a normal cat?" she asked. "Well, as normal as he can get that is."
"I guess its a side affect of zombie potion." He replied. "Well, I guess there's no reason to dilly dally. Lets get a move on!"
"But we still don't know where the castle is." Alice said.
"Then let's just make it out of the forest and see if we can see it!" He said.
Alice didn't have a better plan so she went with it.
They walked for what seemed like hours.
"My feet hurt." The Mad Hatter complained.
"Just wait a little while longer." Alice said. The Mad Hatter had complained so many times, Alice was getting annoyed.
"Can we just take a small break?" He asked.
"Ugh. Fine." Alice complied.
The Mad Hatter gave a yell of happiness.
He sat on a nearby stump and took his hat off. He took his hat off and grabbed a teapot and two tea cups out.
Alice didn't bother asking how he did that. She was use to this weirdness.
"Sit." The Mad Hatter said, pointing to a stump next to him.
Alice sat on the stump and he handed her one of the teacups. Then, he poured them both some tea.
"One lump or two?" He asked.
"One." Alice replied.
He reached into his hat and pulled out a sugar bowl and small prongs. He gave Alice one lump and himself eight.
They drank their tea in silence. Which Alice thought was weird for The Mad Hatter.
Once The Mad Hatter was done, he threw his teacup at a tree and it shattered.
Alice did the same.
"Let's get goin-"
"Noooo! We haven't had our crumpets!"
Alice facepalmed. "We need to get going. Don't you want to turn Wonderland back to normal?"
"He's but-"
"No buts. You can eat it on the way."
"But.."
"No."
The Mad Hatter sighed. "Fine."
They stood up and started walking again.
A few minutes later, they came to a literal fork in the road. There were two paths with a fork in between. And on the fork, was a sign.
Alice stepped up to read the sign, it read:
If you don't know which
way it is you need to go, just
ask me!
"Uh. Okay. Hey... Fork.... Which way do I go?" Alice asked.
Then all around them were giggles.
"What the heck?" Alice said out loud.
Giggles was all she got in return.
"Who is there?" She shouted
Giggles.
The giggles were getting louder, closer.
Then, out of a bush came was Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Their skin was green, their eyes were white, and their clothes were torn.
They continued giggling.
"She read the sign." Tweedle Dee said giggling.
"And listened to it." Tweedle Dum said also giggling.
"She's so stupid." they both said, still giggling.
"Would you two quit it." She said.
Giggles.
"Alice, they won't listen. They've been zombified, remember?" The Mad Hatter said.
"Of course I remember." Alice snapped. "Its just getting on my nerves."
"We're getting on her nerves." Giggles Tweedle Dum. "Did you hear that Dee?"
"Yes I did Dee." Giggled Tweedle Dee.
Alice was getting more and more annoyed by the second. Slowly, she reached behind her and grabbed one of her her swords.
"How 'bout I tell you a joke?" Said Alice. "Knock... Knock.
As she said it, she slowly started walking forward.
"Who's there?" They said at the same time.
"You're." Another step toward them.
"You're who?" Again, and the same time.
"You're getting on my nerves!" She shouted, and sliced their heads off.
The Mad Hatter stood there, pondering her joke.
"I don't get it." He said. "It wasn't funny."
Alice looked at her now bloodstained dress and sighed. "Doesn't matter."
"No, no, it does. You said it was a joke. But it wasn't funny."
Alice put her sword away.
"I said it doesn't matter. Now let's get going."
"Hmm. Ooh! I know! Knock knock." he said.
"Shut up." Alice said.
"That's not how it goes!" He said. "You literally just did this! You have to say who's there. Let's try again. Knock knock."
"Shut up." She said again.
"No! No! Try again, you say 'who's there' after I say knock knock. Now, knock knock."
"Shut up."
"No! Say who's there! Knock. Knock."
"Shut up."
This continued for a very long time.
