"Oh no. No, no, no, no, no." a goofy voice said.
"She'll awake, be patient, good sir." a deep voice said.
Alice slowly opened her eyes, in front two men in front of her.
One was dress in a funny top hat and weird clothing, the other had light brown hair and his body was a Jack of clubs.
Alice fully awoke. "What happened?"
She sat up and rubbed her head.
"You passed out due to loss of blood, my lady." Jack said.
Alice put her hand down, she suddenly remembered.
"It was a miraculous battle. I congratulate you on the victory." Jack said, bending down in a bow.
"Please, I would've died if Hatter hadn't come help." she said.
The Mad Hatter blushed.
"Then I congratulate you both." he said.
"What time is it?" Alice asked.
"Its late noon." the Jack replied.
"I was passed out for over six hours!?" she said, surprised.
"So, when do we go?" Alice asked.
"Not until you are healed!" Jack said.
"Aw, c'mon! I feel fine." she stood up and collapsed, but Jack caught her.
"You are not fine. You need to rest!" Jack insisted.
Alice looked into his eyes. His eyes were sky blue.
Alice stood up, out of his arms.
"Fine." she said, walking to her bed.
She had a hard time falling asleep, and every time Jack checked on her, which was frequently, she pretended to be asleep.
Alice sighed.
"There's no way I am going to fall asleep." she mumbled.
After half an hour of tossing, turning, and pretending to be asleep, she finally slept.
"She is finally asleep." the Jack said. "Her fake sleeping could not fool me."
                                 ...
The next day, Alice was healed enough that they could continue their journey.
After a quick breakfast, they went off.
"So, how tall is this mountain anyway?" Alice asked.
"People have said that it is so tall, you may never reach the top!" The Mad Hatter giggled.
"But alas, that is not true. For I have seen the top myself. That is why your Majesty requested I show you the way to the top." the Jack said.
"Knowing her, I thought she might've send the a liar to lead us the wrong way and kill us or something." Alice mumbled.
"The Red Queen may be cruel at times, but when her, or someone She loves life is threatened, she will do everything she may to protect it." the Jack said.
"Sure, whatever." Alice mumbled.
The three of them made their way slowly up the mountain.
"Careful my lady!" Jack said, holding his arm out to stop Alice from walking any further. "For their is a steep path ahead."
In front of them, was a very long, and narrow path, barely any room for one person.
"I shall go across and see if it is safe!" Jack said.
"Haven't you been here before?" Alice asked.
"Yes, but this wasn't here." he replied.
"Whatever." she said, not wanting to wait, stepping in front of him and going across. "Its perfectly safe."
She slowly walked across, she stopped in the middle, "Aren't you com-" she slipped.
"Alice!" The Mad Hatter yelled.
She quickly regained her footing. "I'm fine!"
She looked down, suddenly becoming very scared.
"My lady, are you alright?" the Jack yelled.
"Uh, yeah, I think so." she replied.
She started walking again.
The Jack held his hand out for her to stop, but no words came out.
Alice kept slipping as she walked, but eventually, she made it across.
Next was The Mad Hatter and then, The Jack.
They made it across with almost no problems.
Alice huffed.
"Are you alright, my lady?" the Jack asked.
"I'm fine. And just call me Alice." she replied. "C'mon."
