"Hey! Look, I think I see the end of the forest!" Alice said, pointing ahead of them.
"Finally." The Mad Hatter said.
They walked out of the forest and into a green grove with hills in either side of them.
"Do you see the castle?" he asked, with a hand over his eyes.
Alice was taller than him, so she could understand why he asked.
"I do! It's over to the left!" She said. "No wait, to the right? Wait, in front of us?"
"What is going on?" The Mad Hatter asked.
"Your guess is as good as mine!" Alice said in a slight shout.
Then they heard a pur, followed by a meow.
"Not The Cheshire again!" Alice complained.
Then, The Cheshire appeared in front of Alice's face.
Alice jumped back.
He purred.
"Are you the one making the multiple castles." Alice asked, annoyed.
The Cheshire's smile got wider.
"For all we know, he could've made himself look green and his eyes white to mess with us!" Alice said.
"Let's just leave and go to the castle then!" The Mad Hatter said.
"We can't! We don't know which one is the real castle." Alice said. "Unless you remember which way the castle is."
The Mad Hatter stood there and thought about it.
While he thought, Alice continued interrogating The Cheshire.
"Well!" Alice said, waving her hand in front of The Cheshire's face. "Remember yet?"
"No. And I'd appreciate it if you would stop talking." The Mad Hatter replied.
Alice tried to pick up The Cheshire but it disappeared.
She let out a loud groan.
"Oh! I think I remember!" The Mad Hatter exclaimed.
"Great! Which way?" Alice asked, frustrated.
"It's... Oh! It's to the left." He said.
The Cheshire appeared again, this time on The Had Hatter's hat.
Alice quickly grabbed it and said "Great, let's go."
They started running.
The Cheshire clawed at Alice's dress, but she didn't care. The dress was uncomfortable anyway. She'd be glad to dispose of it.
"This hill feels like it's stretching on and on." Alice said, tiredly.
They kept running and running. Until they heard The Cheshire laugh.
"What in the-" Alice stopped as she looked at The Cheshire. His skin no longer green, his eyes had returned back to normal.
"You guys are so easy." he laughed.
Alice dropped him. "I thought you were a zombie!"
"Is that seriously what you call them" The Cheshire said.
"Yes." Alice said. "What would you call them?"
"I dunno. Maybe jesters. Jokers. Something like that." He rolled on his back as he said this. "Anyway. You're wrong. This isn't the real castle."
"Then which is it?" Alice said, annoyed.
"Find out." And with that, he disappeared.
"I'm going to kill that cat." Alice said. "I thought you said it was this one!"
"I thought it was!" The Mad Hatter said. "And besides, how do you know The Cheshire wasn't lying about it not being this one?"
"I don't." Alice confessed.
"Exactly. So let's look around first."
