Trying to escape was useless, heavily sedated and tied up for good measure. I was going to die here... Jessica would leave town and never look back while this psycho held me captive.
Eventually he'd realize his plan didn't work and he'd get rid of me....

I heard the door open and shut.

"Did you get what I asked?" The boss questioned. I heard papers being moved around. Then it was silent. "Leave," the boss said. I heard a door close. I could hear him reading, I couldn't make out the words but I heard my name.I heard papers shuffle some more then stop. "She can't be," I heard him whisper. I heard him walk over to me, he touched my hair again but I couldn't do anything about it. He caressed my face while I screamed internally. Suddenly the door open and shut.

"Sir, we spotted Jessica coming up the elevator. We have to go, now" a man said.

"We're taking her with us?" he questioned the man.

"No time, she'll be here any second. We're not ready," the man said. Then both of them rushed out the fires escape leaving me behind. Within seconds it sounded as if the down exploded! Then you could hear her find me.

"Oh god, what did he do to you..." she said. She checked my vitals. She sighed in relief. Then she picked me up and carried me somewhere. I could now rest easy...

~~Hours Later~~

My eyes were finally able to open. I was in Jessica's bedroom. I looked around, I wasn't even going to try to get up this time. I relaxed and enjoyed the fact that I could see.

The front door slammed!

"Jessica?" I called out.

"Emma?!" Jessica ran into the room and sat on the bed. Noticing I wasn't getting up. "What happened? What did he do to you?" She questioned.

"He and a bunch of guys grabbed me outside of work. He was all upset because I didn't get in the van when he asked me to, anyway they took me back to the-"

"Wait!? You can disobey him???" Her eyes widened.

"Yeah..." I didn't understand.

"That's amazing! You're safe from him. Wait." She stopped and stepped away from me.

"What?" I asked.

"Have you been kilgraved....?" He asked staring into my soul.

"I don't know what that means.... and I don't think so...?" I answered. She kept her eye on me.

"Kilgrave can make you do whatever he says and you can't fight it. Suddenly your thoughts and actions are his plans. What did he tell you to do?" She asked.

"He didn't ask me to do anything... he drugged me," I said. She took a deep breath.

"Can you walk?" She asked.

"I'm too scared to try, he upped the dose after I tried to escape. Stupid woman told them I left," I scuffed.

"You escaped??" She questioned.

"Obviously not, but I sure as hell tried," I responded wiggling my toes.

"But how?" She asked.

"His goons, apparently under his spell, drugged me and left me alone in the room. I have rug burn and  bruises everywhere. My chin definitely hurts" I touched the bruise on my chin and winced. Jessica looked like she believed me. She nodded.

"Hungry?" She asked. I nodded and she left the room. I held my arm up and stared at my hand, I could move my fingers just fine. My arm could lift. I tried to sit up. I could! I sat on the bed and propped myself on a pillow. A glimpse of red caught my eye. My jeans were ripped at the knee, just enough to see the damage done.

Jessica came into the room with some noodle soup. She put the soup on the table next to her bed.

"Thank you," I said. I touched my knee and winced.

"Take off your pants," Jessica said going into the bathroom. I didn't question it. I slowly tugged on my jeans and through them on the floor. My knees burned like fire. Jessica came in with a bottle of alcohol. "I couldn't find anything to patch you up," she said.

"Woah! Hey! No," I said backing up further to the wall. Jessica took a drink of the whiskey then poured it on my knees!!
