Monte's POV

Today's the day. We're in the court room. The judge is here, Rebecca's here, the whole Adams-Foster family is here, even Mike Foster is here.

The judge went through all of the necessary stuff and we signed the papers. The judge picks up his pen to sign the papers, but pauses. He looks at Rebecca and I and then to James. He looks back at the paper and then back up to James. "I wish you the best of luck in life, James," he says as he looks back down and signs the papers.

James is ours. He's our son now. I've never been happier in my whole life. I turn to Rebecca to kiss her, but she's not there. I look around the courtroom for her but I can't find her anywhere.

"Down here," I hear her say.

I look down to the floor and she's on one knee with a black velvet box in her hand. My heart started pounding uncontrollably.

"Monte Porter, you make me the happiest woman on earth. Before I met you, I thought love was just a myth, a hoax made by big movie companies to make money. But now I know that it does exist. I know what it is and I love you, Monte. I want this feeling to stay forever. I want you to stay forever. I need you in my life more than I've ever needed anything before. Will you marry me, Monte?"

"Yes!" I choked out. I was bawling my eyes out with tears of happiness and could barely talk. I just won two forevers in less than five minutes.

I held out my hand to Rebecca and she slipped the ring on my finger. She stood up and grabbed me by the waist. She pulled me close and my arms instantly wrapped around her neck. She kissed me in the most passionate way you can imagine. Full of hope, protection, honesty, courage, and most importantly, true love.

My life, at this very moment, felt complete.
