Chapter Three - My Medicine

I stood facing Bruce. I didn't want him to go. But the Avengers needed him or some excuse like that. I was done begging him not to leave. I knew the other guy was basically invincible but I still didn't want him hurt. I didn't even hug him goodbye. I put my head down and walked away. I could hear him calling for me. But I didn't listen. Maybe I was just being a drama queen but it was totally called for.

I started on my way to where Pepper was until I bumped into a man I had never seen in my life. His black hair was slicked back and his green eyes sparkled in mischief. His skin was as white as snow. His stance was proud and purposeful. He had one of my notepads in his hand and a pencil.

"You must be Cecilia?" He said, his voice was rich and overpowering. He grinned a little. "Little tip for you, Mortal. I suggest you don't scream."

And with that one hand went over my mouth, I wrote a small note on the paper. His other hand twisted my hands behind my back. I tried to struggle but the drip got tighter. What did he want with me? And why on Earth was the fact he smelt of snow on my mind? He dragged me along the halls towards a large aircraft. He threw me in an closed up the door.

"Who are you?" I screamed at him. But he just laughed.

"I am Loki of Asguard, burdened with glorious purpose and you, Cecilia Barton, are going to be my wife!" He announced, slipping into the drivers seat.

Wife? Loki? What on Earth was going on? Suddenly guilt ran threw my chest. I used to dream of this man, yet I loved Bruce. Now he would never see me again and I was with the villain. He started to take off and I tumbled onto the ground, falling flat on my back. I groaned. Loki stood from his seat as soon as the aircraft was stable and came towards me menacingly. In his hand was a silver muzzle, in the shape of a skeleton jaw. He snapped it over my mouth and put his hand on my shoulder. His hand felt cold and it seemed to spread to me.

"I'm sure you want to know why?" I nodded. He just laughed and his grip tightened are my shoulder. I looked down at my feet. My feet? My skin was blue and my jeans and vest had changed into a simple gold dress. "Much better. Laufey will finally be proud. I will no longer be the runt but the ruler of Jotunheim!"

This couldn't be happening. I struggled to my feet and went to strike him, but he grabbed my wrist, tying my wrists together. I struggled as much as I could, kicking the Asguardian. But he just tightened the grip and stayed creepily calm.

----Bruce's P.O.V----

I looked around for Cyanide. She was no where to be seen. If she was trying to get back at me this was a step too far. She wasn't in my lab, she wasn't in her room. She wasn't anywhere in the Bartan's living quarters. I was panicking; my heart rate racing. Gone. She was gone. It was like she was taking giving me a taste of my own medicine too far. Natasha was walking towards me, her face a little more paler than usual.

"Nat, have you seen Cecilia?" I rushed. Natasha shook her head.

"No, sorry Banner." Her voice was shaking. She actually looked scared. The Black Widow was scared. "But I found this in her room."

It was a piece of folded paper. It was coarse at touch, like drawing paper, like it was out of one of her sketch pads. The writing was shaky and engrained deep, forced. My eyes flitted over the dark grey hand writing. Muhm, Dade, lBruce, The Avepngers. I hamve wente off with Loki to Jotunheim. Cyanide.

"Wait..." I thought out loud. "She's spelt a whole bunch of words wrong. She was obsessed with English in school. 'Mum' isn't spelt with a H. 'Dad' doesn't have an E. There's no L in Bruce. She spelt 'Avengers' with a P. That spells HELP. 'Have' doesn't have a M in it. And 'Went' isn't spelt with a E. So... HELP ME."

"She's in trouble," Natasha murmured, her hands on her hips. "I'll get Clint and Steve. Meet us in the meeting room. Get Tony and Thor."

I nodded. I grabbed Tony from the basement were he was making modifications to a battered looking suit. Thor was standing topless in the kitchen, eating a tower of pancakes and fried eggs smothered in maple syrup. I shook my head. I wasn't sure how to get his attention from the Earth food to me. I just took the plate off of him and put it on the kitchen bunker. He just watched me, his mouth half open as he was about to take a bite out of the sticky pancakes.

"Come on, Thor, got to... Assemble." I tried. Thor nodded and followed me and Tony in the room.

It was a dark room with a projector screen on the back wall. There was a large dark wood table in the centre with eight matching chairs around it. Natasha sat in the seat beside Clint, with her feet on his lap. Steve took the seat on the other side of Clint. I sat opposite Natasha, as far away as possible from Steve, much to Cecilia's amusement. The thought of her made my heart flip and guilt to sink heavy in my stomach.

"Right guys. My daughter has been kidnapped by a blue butted alien. We need a plan and quick." Clint said sharply and smoothly. Everyone took in a deep sharp breath, and I just sunk down into my chair.

---

OK, so for all you Thor fans, a topless Thor featured in this chapter. And what do you think? I don't think I'll be using Bruce's Point Of View all the time. Just when it seems appropriate like it just did.
