Hollywood undead - Lump in Your Head
Chapter Seventeen - Happiness
Loki's P.O.V
Walking down the halls, aimlessly. My mind was wandering god knows where. Ever since i knew what do about Bruce and Cece, my mind was just a mix of adrenaline and nerves. The fact I was nervous was unbelievable. I'm never nervous. My confidence was usually pouring off my skin. But now? I'm a nervous wreck. But I had to be sure of myself - of my plan. I had to admit, my first thought was to, quite frankly, kill him. But that seems so anti climatic.
Passing door after door, my mind wandering, I found the two in the kitchen. Cece was sitting on the worktop, swinging her legs childishly, while Bruce poured a chocolate chipped mixture onto a baking tray. My mind couldn't help but go to the way she looked. Her hair bounced into ringlets of crimson, softly obscuring one of her eyes. With skin like snow, you could almost mistake her for her mother.
"What you doing out your cage loki?" Bruce asked. Cece turned around to notice me as well, she smirked at Bruces question.
"More to the question, why aren't you in one, monster?" I laughed. Bruce crossed his arms.
"What do you want?" Bruce sighed, although I was not being serious with him what do ever.
"Heard you were baking cookies. And anyway I desire to make things right between us." I kept a smile on my face the whole time. and soon my plan would unfold.
Cyanide P.O.V
I was ecstatic to hear Loki wanted to sort all out with Bruce. I jumped off the counter to hug Loki. It was a long hug, just enough so show I appreciated his effort. Ever since we had joined forces, its safe to say I don't hate him. We stood in the kitchen, just talking, and Bruce was seeming to enjoy his company.
"But honestly, I fully support you two. You are so perfect for each other." Loki grinned with a mouth full of cookie.
My heart dropped. Loki seemed to have no interest for me all of sudden. He was acting like we were best friends, and it confused me. But why was I so upset with this? I am in love? Yes I am. So what is bothering me? I couldn't tell why I was so upset, but I plastered a smile on my face anyway. I fiddled with my necklace as Bruce stood up and grabbed another glass of milk for me.
"Thanks man, was not expecting that," Bruce laughed, sitting down next to me. Loki nodded.
"Well, that is not surprising after what I have put you both through. And if you find a way I can make it up to you I shall." Loki look me straight in the eyes. He got up, nodded and me and Bruce and left the room.
Me and Bruce sat in silence for a while, occasionally taking a bite from the still warm cookies. I didn't know what to think. I was confused. Majorly confused. Loki had accepted me and Bruce. I didn't understand. Bruce squeezed my hand, looking at me with deep concern.
"I'm fine," I mumbled. Bruce shook his head with a small smile.
"No, No you're not," He said, he lifted my face softly with his hand, so I was looking into his eyes. "Something is on your mind. And I'm scared what it could be."
"It's nothing," I drew my hand along his jaw. "I'm just a little shocked. One minute he's trying to kill you, trying to marry me, then he's saving the world buy our side, and then accepting us as a couple. I'm really confused Bruce."
Bruce nodded. He got up, taking my hand. "Maybe I can find a way to release your confusion,"
"What are you on about?" I questioned him, holding my hand loosely in his. I just didn't want to anything. I wanted either my guitar or my pen and paper. I was not up for whatever Bruce had in mind.
He led me to my bedroom and sat on my bed, patting the spot next to him. "Stay here," He told me, getting back up and leaving the room.
I sat there on my own, aimlessly smoothing out the creases on my bed sheets. That's when I released things of mine where missing. My guitar, my art supplies, my guns and knives. I started checking for more. My clothes weren't in my wardrobe, even my computer had been removed. I started panicking. I even checked it it was definitely my room, but the bullet hole was still in the door. Bruce showed back up, with a huge grin on his face.
"Where is my crap Banner?" I growled, staring right into his deep brown eyes.
"Cece, calm down, follow me," He took my hand, almost dragging me down the halls. I saw we were getting closer to Bruce's room. We passed a door where Loki seemed to be making himself at home, then we stopped. It was the room beside Bruce's. He opened the door and I burst into a massive grin.
All my belongings had moved into here, the walls painted a calming green. My knifes were sticking out a target board on one wall, with my art supplies and my gun on a shiny black table. In one corner sat my guitar and easel with a canvas, begging to be used. In another corner was a case.
"Open it, thought you would like it." Bruce smiled. I opened the case up to find a new suit. It was simple. A black leather cat suit with green rib cage like pattern on the lung area. "It was my idea. It's almost your birthday and I wanted a proper suit for you. And a room by me so you can get your own space when you want it. And this too,"
He pulled out a small case out his pocket and opened it, revealing a small silver necklace with a green gem in it. I smiled and jumped on him, squeezing my arms around him, kissing his cheeks and nose. But even although I was beyond happy, my brain would let go about the new development with Loki.
