Chapter Twelve - Are We All In?

Pepper had taken Cecelia out. Propably shopping or something else. I had the Avengers around the table as I paced in front of the door. Everyone had deep thought on their faces. We had tried to get in contact with Fury but nothing was coming through. Suddenly Agent Hill came bursting through the doors. Her face was flustered and her usually slicked back hair was wirey and loose.

"Fury has gone missing!" She told us. Her eyes darted around the room. "Last I saw him, he was on his way to a meeting."

"That meeting was with me, Hill," I admitted, pacing back and forth.

"To do with what?" Steve pitched in, standing up. He was angry.

"To do with this new chick." I replied, glaring at him. Tony nodded. He stood up too and put a comforting hand on Steve's broad shoulder. "Look, I don't know what's going on. But he was acting a little strange during the call. Was there no call, no note, anything from Fury?"

"No," Agent Hill informed me. "If he was going off the grid, for whatever reason, he would leave an encrypted message. But there was nothing."

"Alright, we have got to find Fury. It is as simple as that. Who's in?" Tony asked, his voice full of authority. His arms were crossed around his chest, his back straight. We all nodded.

"But first, let me at the kid."  I smirked. Bruce looked at me confused. "C'mon, think about it. She got clearance in less than a day, Fury was acting strange when I talked to him about her, plus she's got that glint in her eye. A glint I have only seen in the eyes of Loki."

"Do you believe Loki has shape shifted?" Thor questioned.

"I'm not sure. Either that or hired help." I said, shrugging. "But Ton, will you come with me?" Tony nodded. "I need a cocky, irritating scientist so-to-speak."

"Thanks kid," Tony laughed. I shrugged and then opened the door.

"We'll be back. Ton will call after and we'll meet here after." I told everyone and then left.

Me and Tony walked out into the hallway. The hallways had been decorated with spotless cream walls and oak floors. They were very plain compared to some of the other areas of Stark Tower. Especially in Peppers and his living quarters. It was very luxurious there; large TVs and plush carpets. Pepper and Cecelia would be home by now. Probably relaxing in Tony's game room. But instead they were in the kitchen, cooking up something that smelt awesome. Tony waltzed straight up to Pepper and whispered something in her ear, she nodded and went back to the stove. Tony grabbed hold of Cecelia's arm and pushed her towards me.

"Hey, listen," I said in a hushed tone. "Sorry, but, we've gotta have a word."

Her jaw set and her eyes bore into mine. Tony pushed her past me and I closely followed. I tried to keep my stomach calm, and my heart slow, but nerves were taking over me. Thor caught my eye when we walked past him. He nodded at me, and the look in his eyes was one of comfort, support and pride. It was also a way of saying, I'm right behind you. I couldn't help but smile. But even that could help me feeling like a can of Cola being shaken up. We walked into the questioning room. It was a steel room, with a metal table and three metal chairs and had a one way mirror on the far wall. I had asked Thor to be behind the mirror for me before I had left. I took a seat and Tony pushed Cecelia into the chair before sitting next to me. I sighed and sat back in my chair.

"So, what have you been keeping from us?" Tony commanded.

"Oh, honey," She smiled. "Fury knows."

I stood up, nervously pacing back in forth along the one way mirror. "So, speaking of Fury, where is he?"

"I do not know, only my colleague knows." She replied, rolling her eyes.

"And who is this colleague?" I asked, putting my arms onto the back of the chair Tony was sitting on.

"The man in the suit. They call him Revelation." She told me. I nodded and me and Tony left the room.

I leant against the door and closed my eyes. "What now?"

"I don't know, Cyanide. It makes me uneasy thinking about how she willingly gave us that information. We know she's a bad guy... or girl... whatever. But she doesn't mind us knowing that." He shook his head and placed his fingers against the temple of his forehead.

"Makes no sense," I muttered. Thor walked through to meet us and he looked confused himself. "What's up Buttercup?" I asked, getting another confused look from the Asguardian.

"Revelation. I've heard that name before. But I can't remember who it is." He said.

My phone started to buzz in my pocket. I took it out and saw the caller ID was Fury. Tony and Thor also saw, resulting in raised eye brows and shocked expressions. I didn't accept the call; I was scared it would be a tracked, or recorded call. It went straight to voice mail and a recording was left. We all rushed to the meeting room and I pressed play.

"Cyanide? It's Fury. This is important, and I'm not sure if anyone is listening in. Be wary. Stay alert. We are all in danger. Be at central park at four am tomorrow. Sharp."

"Are you about done yet?"

"Yes. Okay, I have to go. Be there."

Then it cut out. We all went silent. I had a plan.

"Mum and Dad, find a spot to hide in Central Park. Bruce and I will track the message. Steve, be a doll and watch over 'Cecelia'. Thor, we may need a little help from your brother. Tony, go with him." All eyes were on me.

"You want Loki's help?" Steve exclaimed.

"Yes, I know what he did to me and what he did to Bruce," I shivered. "But I'm sure Thor can drive a good bargain. You get his help, I'll tell Odin to let it go. He stay's loyal, I'll give him a place to stay. In other words, he repents and helps, all goes well. He mucks up, not only will Hulk smash him, I will kill him."

Everyone nodded and we separated. Bruce put his arm around my waist as we walked towards the lab. I needed time with Bruce, even if it was just for work. We entered the lab and started up the computers. I couldn't find the on switch for one of the screens. Bruce smirked and tapped the left corner and it immediately lit up. I was gutted. He looked up at me with a smug grin and kissed my forehead and moved off to the screen he was working on. I tried to tap on the screen with my metal hand but it wouldn't respond, so I had to use my human hand. It was bizarre. Bruce noticed me getting upset and frustrated and pulled me over to his screen and we worked together on it.
