"I will always care for you, even if we're not together and even if we're far, far away from each other." ~Anonymus
3 Months Later
"That's great, Devin! I'd be honored to be Savannah's Maid of Honor. Do you guys have a set date yet?" I ask, putting the phone on speaker and setting it on the counter so that I can finish cleaning the chicken.
"Sometime in the winter. Probably January or December." he answers.
"Wow. You guys have a couple of months left to go. I really am happy for you guys." I say sincerely.
"Thanks, Alli." I can hear his smile over the phone. "So how're you doing? And the kids, are they alright?"
I take a deep breath. "I'm fine, they're fine. We're fine." After three months of repeating those words, they still don't sound convincing to me.
"You know you can always come to me if you need anything. We're here for you."
"Thanks, Dev." I smile slightly at my brother's concern for me. I hear knocking at the door before the front door opens.
"VAS HAPPENING?!" I laugh as Zayn's all too familiar signature line rings throughout my apartment.
"I gotta go. The guys just got here. I'll call you later, yeah?"
"Alright. Tell them I said hey. I love you."
"I love you. Bye." I hang up bumping right into Liam.
"Hey Liam!" I say, a smile over taking my features. He pulls me into one of his famous Liam Payne hugs.
"How're you doing, love? Alright, yeah?"
"I'm doing great. The kids are upstairs if you want to bring them down." I inform him and he smiles at me.
"Can do."
"Vas happening Alli?" Zayn's very distinguished Yorkshire accent enters the kitchen and he pulls me into a hug as well, squeezing me once before letting go.
"Nothing since this morning when you called me." I roll my eyes.
"ALLISON!!!" Louis yells, picking me up by my waist and spinning me around the kitchen. I can't stop the giggles that escape my lips.
"Louis! Put me down you fool!" I exclaim, still laughing.
"Whatever you say." he says, carefully placing me on the kitchen counter. "How're you?" he asks .
"I'm doing great. You seem to be in a good mood. I suspect that's because of El..." I raise my eyebrows and watch in awe as he reddens a little. Awww. Embarrased Louis is not very often seen.
"Yeah. Everything's going great with the wedding so far. It's surprisingly more stressful than I originally thought." he scrunches his eyebrows together.
"Don't I know it." I joke. It hurts to talk about Harry, and I'm sure everyone knows that, but I won't let them know just how broken I am. I have to be strong for my kids and my family.
"What's going on, beautiful?" my eyes come to meet Niall's, his adorable I'm-an-adorable-little-leprechaun-and-I-know-it smile makes me smile.
"Hey Nialler." I say, hugging him. He squeezes me tight, leaving a kiss to my forehead before letting me go. "How's things with you guys?"
"Great. Just got my own apartment." he informs me and I can tell just by the expression on his face that he really is excited about having his first place all to himself.
"Really? That's great. Where, may I ask." he grabs my hand, leading me outside to my driveway.
"You see that place right over there?" he asks, pointing to a decent-sized blue house right down the street from my apartment.
