"Go to sleep now, babies. Daddy'll see you in the morning." Harry says, tucking each of the kids back into bed.

"You promise?" Brooklyn asks, big green eyes staring up into Harry's identical ones.

"I promise."

"Pinky promise?" Nicholas chips in and Harry laughs, ruffling our son's slightly curly brown hair.

"I pinky promise." he says, wrapping his pinky around each of the kids' much smaller ones.

He turns off the light and we both back out of the room, leaving the door slightly ajar. Harry turns to me, his expression unreadable.

"They missed you, you know." my voice is very monotone, void of any and all emotion.

"I know." he swallows, looking me in the eyes. "Allison, I'm so sorry." he apologizes again and I sigh, breaking eye contact.

"I've heard that too many times to believe it, Harry." I say just loud enough for him to hear it and he just stays silent.

"Are you going to bed?" he asks.

"No," I shake my head. "I was gonna stay up for a little while. Why?" I scrunch my eyebrows together and frown. He shakes his head, shrugging his shoulders.

"No reason." he says. "Night." he begins to turn around and walk towards his room. I sigh.

"Wait, Harry." my words stop him. "Maybe we can stay up and talk? Watch a movie or something?" I suggest. He turns around, facing me.

"Are you sure?" he asks cautiously. The look in his eyes tears me apart inside.

I know I said I would keep my distance from Harry, but we really do need go talk things out and I don't want anything to go unsolved and not talked about any longer.

I nod and he smiles, one that literally takes my breath away. He's so gorgeous. The man in front of me, the one broken from his idiotic decisions, and I still love him. There's no doubt about that. I have a feeling I will ways love him.

"Let me go change out of this dress first, I'll meet you downstairs." I say.

"Okay." he answers and I begin walking the short distance to my room, glancing back to see that Harry hasn't moved. I stand in front of my door for just a second, our eyes locked before he turns, entering his room. I sigh and walk into mine, closing the door behind me.

Too much has happened today. I'm feeling overwhelmed and I just need a second to breathe and think. I have one hundred problems and Harry is fifty of them.

I definitely didn't expect for Harry to be here. Why wouldn't Devin tell me? Why did my dad act as if everything is fine between them? I'm gonna bust Devin's ass for this. Having your divorced husband be around you for at least a week with no warning whatsoever can take a toll on you.

I change into a pair of shorts and a shirt, not being able to reign in the reminicing thoughts of when I used to sleep in Harry's tshirts.

"You didn't have to do all of that, Harry. I would've been just as happy staying in and watching a movie on the couch." I say, peering up at him through my eyelashes as he pulls me close, his arms around my waist.

"I wanted to do something special for you for Valentine's Day," he says. "It just seems like nothing I give you will ever be enough." he frowns. I lean up, thankful that my heels give me some height, and kiss in between his eyebrows where the skin has wrinkled.

"You shouldn't feel that way." I say and kiss his collerbone. His breathing immediately accelerates, bright green eyes slowly turning into a deep, burning jade. "Just knowing you love me is enough." I whisper. "We'd better go check on Brooklyn." I suggest and his eyes light up with mischevious humor.
