"Allison? Allison, are you awake?"
My eyes slowly flutter open and my vision is doubled for a moment before a face materializes out of it. It's Zayn with a concerned expression clearly written across his features. I nod my head and his face relaxes immediately, a huge sigh expelling between his lips.
"Good," he says as he helps me sit up straight on the couch. "Niall, go get her some water," he turns to instruct before turning his attention back to me.
"What happened?" I murmur, my head slightly pounding.
"We'll tell you all of that later," he promises. "How do you feel?" he asks, handing me my glass of water. I take it and drink greedily, gulping it down; the coldness of the water is refreshing to my dry, parched throat.
"I feel okay," I say after draining the glass of more than half of its contents. Slowly, the more I sit, the more the memories begin to make sense. How I was on a date last night, how I had a great time, how I saw...him. At least, I think I saw him.
"Is he okay?" I ask.
"Who?"
"Daniel," I explain. "Is he okay?"
"Oh," Zayn breathes a sigh of relief and I briefly wonder why. "Yeah, he's perfectly fine. He was a bit shaken up but other than that, I think he'll live."
"I bet he doesn't even want to see me ever again," I chuckle slightly
"I don't think that's a correct assumption," Zayn says, a small smile etched on his lips.
"Why would you say that?"
"Maybe because he requested that you call him as soon as you're feeling well enough." I look over at him with a skeptical expression. He laughs again before nodding his head. "I'm not kidding. He was seriously concerned for you last night," he pauses. "We all were."
I look down, eyes following the lines in the wooden floor. I'm just now realizing that the rest of the boys have made a mysterious disappearance.
"What...what happened last night, Alli?" Zayn asks quietly after a few moments of silence.
"I saw him," I say, still staring at the floor.
"Saw who?"
"Harry," I turn to face him straight-on. "Zayn, I know it may sound crazy, but I swear to God I saw him. He was walking down the street and I saw him."
"Alli...I don't think-"
"No, Zayn I know what you're about to say," I cut him off. "I'm not crazy and I don't think I was imagining things."
"Are you one-hundred percent sure?" he asks, furrowing his brows.
"No, of course not...at least, I'm not entirely sure but I'm pretty sure," I sigh in frustration. "Listen, we were in a part of town that I don't usually visit. What if that's where he moved? What if he was going somewhere and that's why I saw him last night?"
"Allison, that's impossible," Zayn sighs. I cross my arms and lean back comfortably into the couch.
"Why? Why is it impossible, Zayn? It's not like anyone else besides Carol and Christian have any idea where he is, right?" Zayn averts his eyes away from my face, refusing to look me in my eyes. My heart stops and then drops all the way down to my feet as I realize there is someone else who knows where Harry is.
"Zayn," I speak cautiously. "Do you know where Harry is?" There are a few moments of anticipated silence before he speaks.
"I didn't mean to find out," he begins. "I just overheard Carol and Christian talking. Honestly Allison," he pauses to run his fingers through his hair, "it doesn't surprise me that this is exactly where he would hide."
