The current of the water was strong but my determination to get Red was stronger. I hadn't even thought twice when I dove into the water where Orion wouldn't follow. His fear would cost him dearly. I saw her hair before I saw her face, pale and content. Bubbles of air passed from her lips. I swam harder against the current, before I wrapped my arms around her underarms and pulled her to the surface.
I was blinded by a bright light above me. I saw Orion standing at the edge of the cliff, a white light was trained on him as well as myself. I snorted at Orion's weakness as I watched Orion be lifted up. I too felt my body be lifted up in the light, I held on tight to Red, making sure that the light also took her. My eyes slid over to Orion who was only looking up and I felt anger spurt in my chest at how easy it had been for him to forget all about Addieca.
I placed a hand on Red's forehead, she was still warm and I sighed. She would live but for how long after was unknown to me.
