A Wednesday afternoon 5:33 pm
He confessed his feelings with shy smiles and bright eyes.
"You know that I like you, right?"
Once traffic decided to subside and hide beneath quiet waves, so that his words were heard loud enough to not have to repeat his statement twice.
There was obvious hesitance clear when his hands had kept coming up to his face to block my view.
Assumptions were made of me not reflecting the same feelings. I couldn't exactly find the courage in me to say how much I liked him back so I instead kept my gaze low and did not feel the color red creep onto my face.
He, however, caught sight of it quickly.
We naturally kept our pace even, while the sun did the same. The wind was the last thing felt between the material of his jacket and my skin.
The small farm was bare with any others, except the goat and his friends. Our only source of entertainment was each other, giving us no choice but to communicate. Unknowingly I had lead myself into a trap.
With our backs pressed together and the clouds ghosting by slowly above us his voice had gone lost with the wind when he had mumbled how pretty I looked.
"Prettier than usual"
We pointed out clouds with squinted eyes, one had resembled a rabbit. Fortunately, he had understood how my mind had processed the pictures in the sky without much struggle.
Although we had only sat onto a makeshift wooden bench he had expressed his enjoyment with my company. There I realized I had not to worry over whether or not everywhere we went contained something exciting.
Instead I had found someone I can do completely nothing with yet still feel the exhilaration of getting chased.
