Chapter 2
Reagan's POV
A pair of hands were placed over my eyes.
"Don't say anything, just walk." It didn't take rocket science to figure out who it was, that voice is very distinct.
It was the one and only, Luke. He lead me through the tables, but for his own amusement, he had me walk into to chairs since I couldn't see.
"Ow, you jackass." I laughed as I nearly fell. He stopped us from walking any farther and removed his hands. In front of me stood Jack and Ben, looking amused as well.
"Luke, your present is in the car." Ben said, handing him a pair of keys.
"I'll be back." He said a little too quickly before taking the keys and scurrying off.
"One at a time, that way it's less suspicious." Jack said. We were sneaking off to my place, since I only live next door. Both my parents were at this 'party', so the house is empty.
When it comes to throwing parties, I'm an expert.
"Ladies first." Jack spoke.
"Woah, since when did you have manners? What ever happened to 'every man for himself'?" I fake a gasp.
"That was years ago, about...." He trailed off, trying to count how many years it has been since the last time he baby-sat Luke and I.
"Almost eleven years." Ben beat him. Those two had always been geniuses, and it payed off. Now they both have well paying jobs and live in the city, separately of course.
Luke came back into view with a sports bag containing a six pack of beer.
"That's all you brought?" Exclaimed Jack.
"I can't fit all of them in the small bag, so I left the others on mum and Dad's bed" he shrugged and I chuckled.
"Ha ha, very funny." Ben muttered.
Luke, being 6'1", tried to reach over the fence so he could safely drop the bag onto my lawn.
"It's going to break." Jack stated.
"Not it's not." Luke assured, mainly himself.
"Yes it is, and I'm not letting you waste that by having it break. Or risk being caught if it does, considering that someone would hear the glass break." Jack retorted.
"Fine!" Luke snapped at his older siblings.
"Here, I'll hop over first and then you can hand them to me." I offered.
"Sooner than later, some of the adults are glancing our way." Said Jack, making sure the coast was clear before telling me to climb the fence.
"Need help?" Ben snickered as I placed my hands on top of the fence. I jumped up and pulled myself over, proving that I didn't.
Turning around, the black sack was already hanging over the side. I grabbed it, pulling a beer out for myself while walking into my house, leaving the door open for the others. Jack walked in next, and a minute later we saw Ben. It took another two minutes for Luke to finally make it here.
The time read 8:36, and I'm positive that we weren't being missed at that party. The Hemmings brothers took turns going back to their house to grab more drinks, and now we are having a great time. In my basement is where we are lounging. We started off played ping-pong, Jack and Ben against Luke and I. Until Luke had the idea of playing beer pong.
Luke and I were down to the last cup when the front door was slammed shut.
