Callie's POV
"It's only two weeks until Christmas, what should I get him?" Emma asked. For the past few weeks Emma and Calum have been very close. They hung out whenever they could, he walked her to classes and stole kisses whenever possible.
We still hang out, but not as much as we used to. As a result, I went back to the other "friends." It wasn't the same, so as a last ditch effort I tried to become friends with Luke.
Key word: tried.
"Oh!" She exclaimed and her face lights up with excitement, "Never mind, I just thought of something." She rambled on to herself for a few seconds before Calum showed up and she became quiet.
"What's going on?" He looked at her suspiciously, but in a cute way.
"Hm? Oh nothing." She smiled.
"Alright. So, my place tonight? I want to introduce you to my other friends." He asked her as he stood behind Emma and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on top of her head.
"Yes, sounds good." She replied.
"Do you want to join us, Callie? I'm sure Luke would be glad to have you there."
"What do I want?" The tall blonde had walked over to us, looking confused.
"For Callie to join us tonight." Said Calum.
"What? I don-" Luke stopped talking as he caught on to Calum's glare, telling him to be polite. "Uh, oh yeah. You should come." Luke said, scratching the back of his head.
"Thanks, but I have plans. Have fun though, I have to go." I smiled and walked away. Clearly the invitation was only to be polite, but I was not truly wanted there. I had just barely made it to my locker in the adjacent hallway when the tall blonde caught hold of my hand.
"Look," he began, "I know you're being difficult -and I can be difficult too- but the thing is, the get-together is actually at my place. Long story short Calum is having work done on his house. Back to-"
"Get on with it, I don't have all day." I interrupted him.
"Just go with me!" He snapped.
"Do I have a choice?" I nervously laughed.
"Nope, and I'll be picking you up around 8."
"Wait, won't the other friends be there?"
"That's a possibility. They're going out, and may or may not show up. Another long story short I don't want to be the third wheel. And we..." He trailed off.
"We...?"
"Don't make me say it." He frowned. When I realized what he was talking about, my face lights up and his drops even more. If that's even possible.
"Say it!" I giggled.
"No." He states flatly.
"Say it or I won't go with you." I compromised.
"I'm not saying it. I will go into your house and drag you over to my place." His face is serious, but he has to be joking.
"Then I'll scream 'bloody murderer' until someone helps me."
"No one will help you because no one will care."
"Just say it." I smirk.
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"No"
"Yes. Wait what?" I laugh as he realizes what I did to confuse him. "No."
