Emma's POV

Calum stood with Luke at his side. He and I were both slightly nervous since usually first dates are awkward.

Well I guess it can't really get more awkward than this.

I just didn't know how to bring it up with Callie, and by the looks of it Calum didn't tell Luke either. The shock that came across Luke's was was fun to watch, but the amusement in Calum's face was more fun to look at. Not to mention more attractive, to me at least.

"Hey Emma" Calum greeted us.

"Hey" I smiled.

"I'm thinking Au Bon Pain, sound good?" He asked.

"Yea sounds great." I replied. We walk to the restaurant side by side, Callie and Luke trailing behind us silently. The mall is empty on Wednesday nights, and so there were no lines for anything.

I choose to eat macaroni and cheese, Callum going for a sandwich. He insisted on paying for my food, being the gentleman that he is. Continuing his gentleman-like self, we sit at a table for two and he helps me into my seat- not that I really needed the help. What I needed was something to talk about, because I don't really start conversations with people that I'm not comfortable with.

"Let's play a game." He smiled. "Pick a person in the room and tell a story about them. Hero or villain, your choice. I'll start."

"Ok," I said.

"See the cashier? By day he's a cashier but at night he's batman."

"Batman?" I laughed.

"Yeah, Batman. There's a secret button on the register that takes him to his bat cave. The cashier next to him is his butler and the sandwich guy is the inventor. And in a secret room his Bat-mobile is stored away safely. Right now he's just waiting for trouble." And with that he began singing the batman theme song.

"I think you may just be that trouble." I laughed.

"Favorite superhero, go!" He asked and pointed his finger at me.

"Uh, superman." I answered. "Favorite villain, go!" I mimicked.

"The hulk." He sat up straight and flexed his arm muscles for me. "Your turn," he spoke after I finished my little fit of giggles.

"There's really no one here." I said, looking around. There were only two cashiers (one has become Batman and the other his butler), one guy making sandwiches (who became the inventor), and Callie and Luke who are bickering.

"Well then, guess we will have to go for a walk." He suggested.

"What about them?" I asked, indicating our blind dated friends.

"Eh, let's just leave them." He smile mischievously before taking my hand and leaving the restaurant.

Callie's POV

"You're such an annoying pain in the ass." I mumbled.

"I wouldn't be if you let me pay. I wa-" Luke began, but like always I cut him off.

"This isn't a date." I glared at him.

"It's a blind date." He countered, pointing his finger at me.

I threw my head back and groaned from the annoyance this boy was giving me.

"Neither one of us wants to be here, so why would you want to pay for me?" I returned.

"Because I was taught how to treat a girl." He said. Though I haven't know him too long, his facial expression told me he was lying.

"Your lying." I stated.
