The Beginning

First Date

We played a couple more rounds before getting out to go eat some pizza.

"Devyn follow me." Sam said.

He walked me up to his room.

"Put these on." He tosses me a white t-shirt with some black sweat pants. He ran down stairs so I could change.

I put the shirt and sweats on and ran downstairs. Everybody was sitting on the couch eating pizza. I walked into the kitchen to grab myself a slice and sat on the opposite side of the couch that Sam was on. Ricky threw a movie at me. It was To Kill A Mocking Bird. I have always loved the book but have never seen the movie. I chucked it back at Ricky and told him to put the disc in.

It was about 2 hours later and everyone but me and Sam were asleep.

"So." Sam said breaking the silence.

"What?" I smiled.

"Ive been thinking about this first date thing and I was thinking a movie?" He questioned.

"A movie?" I jokingly replied.

"What?! Its a classic! C'mon." He laughed.

"I was kidding a movie is great!" I state.

"I should get going my mom is probably wondering where I am."

"Ok." Sam said getting up to walk me to the door.

"See you tomorrow?" He asked.

"Definitely!" I smiled before walking out.

I walked in my front door to see my mom and dad in the kitchen.

"Hey kiddo how was your day?" My dad asked.

"It was fun!"

"Good! So I was thinking about the whole Six Flags thing and since your birthday is on Monday I was thinking we could leave Sunday and spend about a week up there? Do you know who you want to bring?" He answered.

"Ok thats fine and I was thinking like Kian, Sam, Connor, Trevor, Jc, Ricky, and Kinley?" At this point I was nearly begging.

"Fine." My dad sighed.

"Thanks dad!!! Love you but I'm going to bed!" I yelled as I ran up the stairs.

"Love you too and keep it down we aren't the only ones in this neighborhood."

I slowly started to open my eyes. I turned my head to see Josiah standing next to my bed.

"Hiii Devyyynn!"

"What do you want?" I sighed.

"Im lonely!"

"Oh my god Josiah are you kidding me you are 18 and you're complaining that your lonely! What the hell is wrong with you?" I laughed.

"What?!? Hahaha you want to go get some breakfast?"

"Sure let me just shower and get ready. Be down there in like half an hour." I replied.

After showering I tossed my 'Keeping It Real' tank and light blue short shorts on along with my gray canvas vans.

We were at Ihop looking at the menu when Kian walked in. He caught eye of me and walked over to our table.

"Hey!"

"Hey." He responded.

"Do you want to join us?" Josiah inquired.

"Sure!"

After eating Kian asked if I wanted to go to the mall with him to buy some new clothes and we were soon on our way.

"Do you want to come inside Urban Outfitters with me?"

"Yeah." He retorted.

After running around the mall for hours we stopped by chipotle to grab some lunch and had a ton of laughs.

"Alright alright! You ready to go?" I exclaimed.

"Yeah."

When we got back to my house I noticed Sam walking down my porch. I stepped out of the car and walked towards him.

"Hey is everything ok?" I asked.

"Yeah! I just came over to see if you wanted to do that movie thing?" He smiled.

"Yeah! You ready?"

"Yup." He stated.

We were about halfway through the movie when Sam used that yawning exempt to get his arm around me.

"Sam."

"Yeah." He chuckled.

"You don't have to use that yawning excuse to wrap your arm around me. Just saying.." I winked and turned my attention back towards the screen.
